Your _____ Equipment

This is how the game goes. Name one gear that is:

Your Best Equipment
Your Worst Equipment
Your Cheapest Equipment
Your Most Expensive Equipment

You only have to name ONE. You can name more then that if you want but one is the minimum.

For me it's my Bauer Impact 75 skates. I don't use them anymore but I still have them.

It seems like I did. I wasn't thinking but I meant those skates are my worst gear.

My best gear is definitley my CCM U+12 Chest Protector which I still use. So mobile and lightweight but also enough protection. Not great for checking but it feels amazing.

The "skates" edition:
Worst: Bauer Vapor x3.0 skates, my first pair of hockey skates, they were way too soft for a guy with my weight (at the time) - haven't purchased from that shop again since
Cheapest: Bauer Vapor x7.0 skates - got the used for 50, backup skates now
Most Expensive & Best: Bauer Vapor X:60 skates, worth every cent

Besides skates:
Best: Easton S19 helmet, light and very protective
Worst: Easton EQ20 elbow pads, always shifting
Cheapest: Tackla 5100 pants used for 20, great protection and mobility
Most expensive: CCM Crazy-Strong Shoulders+Elbows, same as CL but with added liner, great mobility and really low weight, yet I feel well-protected

Best: I love all of my stuff, but if I had to pick one item it would be one of my Warrior Pro Stock Dolos. The one I'm thinking about is a 110 flex and whoever "Dee" is, he or she created the perfect pattern IMO. It feels like it has just as much pop as the day I got it and I have been hard on it. I have used it less frequently in my rotation in the last six months in order to prolong its lifespan, but it always performs when called upon.

Worst: I got a Bauer APX blade and it blew up during warm-ups after 4 shots - that is not an exaggeration. I've never really been a "Bauer guy" and after $70 and 4 shots (that's $17.50/shot) with that blade, I'll stick to what I like.

Cheapest: I'm an Ebay troll, so I get most of my equiptment pretty cheap. The cheapest was a brand new Nike Ignite shaft (the ones made by Innovative) for $5.00on Ebay. Although I don't really use standard hosel shaft/blades anymore, it's got great puck feel and can't beat the price.

Expensive: CCM U+ Crazy Light skates. $400 but worth every penny.

All time or current?

Current:

Best = Jofa elbow pads
Worst = My M11 helmet is a little uncomfortable and I wish I could wear my tongues over my Reebok shins, but I'm happy overall
Cheapest = Sherwood 9950 shoulders...$35 new
Most Expensive = Graf G35's...$425 on sale

All Time:

Best = Vapor X:60 stick. Perfect weight, balance, and flex. Scored so many goals.
Worst = Any cheap stick I've ever bought, Itech shoulder pads (rode up), Bauer Vapor pants, no protection at all, Warrior Diablo that snapped on the second use, TPS R2 Armor shafts which always snapped right away, any Bauer wood blade
Cheapest = Can't recall...probably all the beginner gear I bought
Most Expensive = Graf G35's, see above

Your Best Equipment - My Bauer Vapor X:30 skates, I'd often gone 'Below-Average' with previous skates, and decided to go mid-range... They're perfect if I'm honest!
Your Worst Equipment - My ill fitting RBK/Jofa 3K Shinpads...
Your Cheapest Equipment - My RBK 3K elbowpads...
Your Most Expensive Equipment - Currently, my Krown 360 lid... My EQ50s are coming from America and so they're cheap, but still around 200 once everythings sorted out...

Best Equipment - Has to be my Sherwood 5030 Shoulder Pads. Best fitting pads I ever owned.
Worst Equipment - Bauer One90 girdle. That velcro POS has to be the worst thing in the world. Only used it about ten times and finally got frustrated and bought a tackla yesterday.
Cheapest Equipment - CCM V02 Elbow pads. They do the job.
Most Expensive Equipment - Reebok White K skates. They are great skates. Could've did better but the price point was fantastic.

Best - Bauer One.9 skates - without a doubt - I can't say enough about these skates, seriously.

Worst - I phased out the worst equipment as I got better and learned more about what I like/don't like in equipment. But looking back, I'd say that the worst piece of equipment I ever used were my CCM Tacks 652. They weren't terrible skates by any stretch and while I had them I really liked them, but they were 2 sizes too big.

Cheapest - Currently, probably my Bauer Vapor elbow pads from Canadian Tire.

Most Expensive - Bauer One.9 skates - without a doubt - I had a tough time dropping that much money on skates, despite how badly I wanted them. As time went on I was able to justify it to myself. Didn't hurt that I ended up with a 25% off coupon plus approx $300 in gift certificates @ Sport Chek. I walked out feeling like I stole them!

Best - Vaughn 7700 Piku Modded Catcher - Best glove I have ever used, bar none, Piku does some amazing work with the closure of the glove.

Worst - Vaughn 7700 Piku Modded Blocker- Ironically... his blocker is also one of the worst I have ever used. Piku moved the palm of the blocker up an inch from the board so his goalies can stop the low blocker side shots with ease. Problem is, my weakness has always been up high on the blocker side, with this modification it only makes things worse! His other mods to the blocker were great though, just can't save a damn puck with it!

Cheapest - a 3 way tie between my John Brown goalie jock, JB neck/collar guard, and my Sherwood 9950 sticks. Unfortunately they all cost me about 100 dollars. Damn expensive goalie gear!

Most Expensive - Reebok P4 pads

Best: Mako M1 stick. Great stick for the money, I've had it since they first came out. I'll get the new version when that one comes out.
Worst: Easton 55S pants. Terrible ergonomics and the belt never held them up
Cheapest: Easton 55S elbow pads. They're decent pads and comfy despite being low end
Most Expensive: Reebok 16k skates. Great skates, and they're my first pair that I actually picked out based on which felt the best.

Best: Tie between Bauer One90 skates and CCM V10 Elbows
Cheapest: In terms of price.. CCM 1052 skates off of ebay. $20? In terms of quality.. Bauer TotalOne Stick that snapped after a week doing nothing but warmups?
Worst: TotalOne stick mentioned above.
Most Expensive: Bauer Vapor 7.0 stick. Awesome. You'd think the One90's would have been the most expenseive but I only paid $99 on closeout. I wear a jr. size 5.5 so that saved me some serious coin.

Your Best Equipment: Graf G65's love them

Your Worst Equipment: i got rid of them a few years ago but the warrior hitmen elbow bads were pure junk, they were falling apart after 20 uses and kept sliding off my elbow. I upgraded to bauer ones, not sure which ones but they are great.

Your Cheapest Equipment: Eagle gloves, bought them used and got them repalmed, they are sweet though

Your Most Expensive Equipment: G65's

Your Best Equipment: X:60 skates or Classic Supreme shoulder pads
Your Worst Equipment: Don't have parsay but my shins are lowend Reebok2ks
Your Cheapest Equipment: Reebok 2k shins
Your Most Expensive Equipment: X:60 skates

Should add oldest to the list

My oldest are my Easton X-treme elbow pads..Not sure how old but I am 25 and they are a jr size, I assume I have had them since I was about 10-12.. I did purchase a new pair of Reeboks last year but didn't like the bulkier feel and how they slid on my arms so I went back to the old Eastons

Best - tough to choose, I guess my totalone shaft/blade combo
Worst - I like all of the gear I currently use
Cheapest - my ancient Bauer 2000 shouldies, straps are so stretched that they do nothing. Still like the shouldies though, mobile and moderately protective
Most expensive - unless you're a goalie, isn't this pretty much always your skates? It is for me (X40s)

Thought pads would be the most expensive piece of equipment for goalies if purchased new?
