Who do you think is the most one-dimensional player in the NHL?

Like, a good defensive defenseman who brings absolutely nothing offensively... a good offensive forward who brings absolutely nothing defensively... a skilled player with absolutely no physical presence, etc.

My early nomination is Mariusz Czerkawski.

Sergei Berezin.

I think all he can do is take a slap shot from the blueline.

Zdeno Ciger: didn't have a clue where the defensive zone was, and even when he found it, didn't do anything there.

Steve Webb: has exactly one skill -leaving his feet to take runs at players on the other team- and even this "ability" only comes out in home games.

Vitali Vishnevsky: great hitter and a good defensive d-man who has almost no offensive abilities. Four goals in three and a half seasons of NHL hockey.

Adam Foote

I'd nominate Brodeur, but he scores goals too.

Sopel's a bad pick. He can hit, he can pass, he can skate, he can shoot...that's like...4 dimensions right there!

My nomitation is Andy Delmore.

He can shoot the puck hard.

That's all.

Agreed, Delmore is literally the definition of what TP wanted. He can't pass, play D, create plays, but man can he shoot. His one dimension is great. Sadly, their are probably 10 more dimensions that he has that aren't NHL caliber (or AHL caliber).

I dunno why defensemen who are great defensively and can't score goals aren't mentioned as one-dimensional players...

Anyone who mentions Pavel Bure and doesn't bother to exclude his playing time with the Rangers is a downright fool. He played a SOLID two-way game and actually hit people.
