This one is for Jewelly who just can't seem to wait until Monday to post her GDT rubbish, and will calling for a sticky before she even reads this post ....
Oilers - Canucks
Mon. Sep 22, 2003 6:00 PM
(The Building Formerly Known As) Skyreach Centre - EDM
Sorry I wasn't around the other two games. I have been having major CPU issues - I'm actually borrowing a friends keyboard right now to be typing at all.
I watched both other exhibition games, and feel that we're playing okay so far. I *love* the fact that Daniel scored. I was to see a lot of of the Sedin's on the scoresheet in the pre-season. Many of us wish good things on one player or another - mind are the Sedin's by a longshot.
Anyhow, the Oilers should be a good match. I'll be listening to them tonight on Edmonton Radio against the Flames. They tied 3 - 3 in their first game against the Flames, so we'll see how this second one goes.
Well, I hope Salo has been practicing his Goalie Tai-Kwan-Do because he had a long way to go before he had a hope against Cloutier judging from this tilt ..... ah, this never gets old, does it? ....

lol, I'm doing that too. I found myself rooting for the sedins more than the canucks (if that makes any sense..hey it's the preseason). It would be tremendous if they could finally have a breakout year and turn into a legitimate second liners.
The Oil just got spanked by the Flames, 4-1 tonight.
The Flames dressed most of their regulars while the Oil presented a minor league team.
My theory is that the Oil have rested their key players so they'll be good and ready for the real game on Monday. :p
Calgary sounded very good and I'm wondering if it'll be another tough season with them again.
It wasn't just a minor league team...it was the Charlestown fricking Chiefs. Was NOT pretty.
You knew things were going downhill on a particle accelerator when Bryan Allen left the game with his bell rung in the 2nd period, then shortly after another Oiler Dman got a game misconduct, leaving 4 dmen...and two of those being Scott Ferguson and Rocky Thompson. Bad mojo.
I sure hope the Oilers kick it up 4 or 5 notches on monday, if not it's going to be a slaughter.
Iginla has looked very good the last two games against Edmonton, that's for sure. The whole MCI line looks like they're in 01/02 form already. As for the rest of the team...who knows?
