Now they are saying it was more Naslund's fault for not backchecking properly, or something like that-basically lack of communication. And Allen was trying to take a man heading to the net, which is why he wasn't watching Hemsky and ended up screening Cloutier. Good old Canuck D-zone coverage :p

Cloutier sure seems irritable in the preseason...

Smith hit the post and took a hooking penalty on the same shift...

Pretty uneventful PP, aside from a nice feed by Linden to Chubarov.

Penalty killing sounding extremely strong thus far, good short-handed efforts from Bouck, Kavanagh, Smith, Ohlund, Allen and...Jokela(?)

We've been able to kill of the majority of their chances simply with AHL PK lines. Excellent sign.

Allen has sounded firm outside the initial lapse in the first and one undisciplined penalty. Jovo has been having a good game...Nazzy and Bert fairly invisible.

Liking what I'm hearing from Nolan, Smith and Allen.

Oilers put in newbie goalie...time to score.

7 shots on goal halfway through the 2nd...
Jovo takes another penalty, his second of the game...
No one has really sounded impressive...

Cloutier has been having an impressive game in my opinion, he's made some nice (sounding) saves.

Jovo has really been throwing his body around and Smith and Nolan have been doing some nice forechecking.

WCE virtually invisible.

1-0 Oilers after two periods...

Kavanaugh fought Staios at the end, and lost...

Jokela has made some nice plays out there...

9 shots after two periods...
