Garon was great in the third; not going to criticize any goaltender for losing in a shootout.

Grebeshkov was decent overall, definitely didn't stand out from the other defensemen in a negative or a positive way, but he definitely wasn't really bad like you said. Same for Cammalleri, who was pretty average, but he still had his strong moments.

Gleason should have been there anyways and would have been better than all three, IMO. He at least would've been better than Pothier and Ballard, that's for sure.

Brown didn't pass the puck to often, which kind of angered me. He did set Parise up point blank. There was alot of pressure on the Kings boys though.

And the one time he should've shot, he passes!

I was just so happy that i finally get to see 4 of our top future stars play and what do they do nothing. I expected Brown and Camms to stand out neither did playing on the first line.... Garon i gues ya he actually did good just sucks that he blew it in the shootout.... and then Grebs looked below average and i've really wanted to see him i guess bad time to see him

great game! wish i would have remembered it was on, missed the whole first half. Sure beats listening to hockey over the internet.

some really nice draft picks though. i think rochester's record was well represented tonight. i hope miller can make as much of an impact in the nhl as the rest of the allstars.

so these "big time" nhl league guys are in buffalo..huh.. Im using my conehead powers to get a deal done. wish me luck

It was interesting to hear Ray Ferraro make comparisons between a few of the All-Stars and established NHLers:

Ryan Kesler: Trevor Linden
Dustin Brown: Adam Deadmarsh

Maybe he logs onto Hockey's Future every once in awhile?

I honestly thought the Monarchs were pretty bad.

Garon had a decent third period, and the goal was not his fault. However, as much as I hate shootouts, he just got schooled.

Grebeshkov was next to invisible. The few times he was rushing the puck up the ice, he couldn't pass it anywhere. He didn't make any defensive gaffs, but he was pretty bad with the puck.

Brown either didn't pass when he should have, or he didn't shoot when he should have. He didn't do poorly, though.

Cammalleri had a nice pass for the first goal. Maybe I am expecting too much, but he didn't really control the puck or make any good passes.

Again, maybe I'm expecting too much, but I just wasn't impressed with any of the Monarchs tonight.

Also, I couldn't tell the difference between Staal and Spezza. They are clones of each other I think. Both play and dominate the game the same way.

How did Koivu look after the first period? He looked a little shakey in the first...

I agree with the above poster. Im suprised nobody mentioned Staal. Was robbed twice, and seemed to always be involved in the play trying to make things happen. I think he was the only forward (beseides Kesler) that did any backchecking. He was always deep in his own zone. Man that kids gonna be a good one.

Staal impressed me alot!

Bo, Zack & Dustin played well together....I know some people have been on Dustin but I thought the three had the best line going.

I paid the most attention to the Planet/USA side, and the one guy that really impressed me was Brandon Bochenski. While he's not that quick, he's always near the puck and has magic hands. He had some nice chemistry with his fellow Americans Brown and Parise. Bochenski looks like a guy who will score at every level, including the NHL. Bob Kudelski?
