There is no such thing as a bad writer. Personally I found Tolkienīs stories to be good but not page-turners, on the other hand I love Hemingway and Atlas Shrugged. Ayn Randīs philosophy, taken to its logical conclusion, is ridiculous and the way she portrays successful industrialists as victims is inaccurate, however I think her storylines are excellent. Itīs just a matter of personal tastes, broes.

The bolded may well be the first thing I have ever disagreed with you on!

Noooooooooooooo I cant let our agreement on things end like this.
Obviously there are awful writers, but itīs all subjective, thatīs what I meant. Among those writers that I mentioned, I dont think there is an awful one among them. One of my favorite books is For Whom the Bell Tolls, but I also liked Atlas Shrugged. To like the second one, I simply rejected most of the philosophy and enjoyed the story.
Anyhow invictus I know you are interested in International Affairs...in January Ill start my masters in that field in DC....I am pretty stoked. I even got an internship at a really interesting think tank doing work on energy security. It seems like I will actually be doing things beyond copy-making

The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light. - Stanley Kubrick

Haha, you saved it. Your further explanation is completely reasonable Go us!
That is awesome! I am actually flying to DC at the end of January to interview for a few random jobs and whatnot at some think tanks (none that deal with energy security, that sounds cool though), State Department, etc...I am kind of nervous because one of the places actually fronted my plane ticket for me. So, I feel like I need to try real hard not to suck
But, that sounds awesome to start your Masters and have a solid internship going on! Congrats. If this trip turns out to be a fruitless endeavor, I will probably look to serve another year through AmeriCorps VISTA in either the DC area or San Francisco and make them pay for my move! Hooray.
I've been using Netflix for obscene amounts of time since I returned home from college for winter break. I usually catch up on television shows, but I just watched a film that genuinely affected me.
Traffic. It's about the war on drugs- Mexico and the United States. Even if it was produced over a decade ago, the messages and tones of the movie are still very relevant to this day.

Yea, get them *****es to pay for your travel expenses
I don't even know where to start. This weird ass coworker of mine said he started dating this one girl around Easter. Then in September (I think that's the month) he said he proposed to her and she said yes. So then this weekend he said she called it off.
I knew something was fishy just because it was him. So I found the girl he was showing us pictures of and the name surprisingly matched. However, when I finally messaged her today and asked about it she said no to the whole thing.
Even worse, her FB profile picture was updated in October with her current boyfriend in it. My coworker was the first to comment on it saying how great they look.
So I recieved a framed and autographed picture of Mario Lemieux as an early Christmas gift from my fiancee today.
However the nameplate has a few inaccuracies. I.E. it says "Pittsburg" instead of Pittsburgh and it also says "Two Time Stanley Cup Champions '90 and '91"
Would these nameplate inaccuracies affect the value of the piece??? Or would the value actually increase due to the nameplate errors??? Not that I would ever sell this of course, just little inaccuracies like this bug me. Especially for the $$$ she paid for it.
my toshiba laptop finally busted after three years. at least it made it through the bar exam. tough duff.
Nice. My laptop actually turned 3 a week ago today. I had to replace the battery back in May-ish or so. I have upgraded to both Windows 7 and now 8 on it, haha. I hope I can squeeze out another few years!
Incredible how some people are fooled into purchasing those "Beats by Dre" headphones at such a high price. They're not bad but you can find the same quality headphones for much cheaper...or pay the same price and get much higher quality ones.
