Awful man. Lost a couple of classmates in the Tsunami 2004, it's a surreal feeling.

So many babes on that show it's maddening. Looking back, they are still all very pleasing to the eyes, aided heavily by not get mixed up in any of those disastrous hair trends of the late 80's/early 90's. There is a woman I work work with who looks A LOT like one of the characters in her prime. If all goes according to plan and I get a new job in a few years, I might plant one on her Gordon Cole-style on my way out and head to the closest diner for some coffee & cherry pie (we used to flirt some, I think?).

it really is a surreal feeling to lose people that young. There was a string of 2 or 3 years after I graduated where it just seemed like there was wreck after wreck of people I knew. Sadly, after three years of teaching I'm realizing that knowing this many young people means losing young people is something I will be experiencing relatively often

**** I'm exhausted and my woman wants to drag me to the mall.

Normally I don't mind shopping with her one bit, but today I'm running on 2 hours of sleep and a hangover.

Fun....

Do any of you dudes watch Mad Men? Last year Ms. Amick showed up as an old flame of Don's and he strangled her to death in a fever dream, good stuff. She's still gorgeous but lost a little of that Shelley quality.

Do it! Personally I think seasons 4 and 5 are about as good as TV gets, but there's also a chance you hate it immediately and never get there.

If you watch Mad Men, go in expecting that the first half of season one or so will leave you wanting more. It is more of a slow-burner. But when it picks up, you will be hooked.

Also, I've never watched Twin Peaks.

Losing one classmate feels awful, but I can't imagine how it'd feel to lose several at a single time. That's terrible.

Surreal indeed. I don't know, it kind of feels like you have on these glasses that shield your eyes from anything truly awful that could happen to you (if that makes sense). Death or even the prospect of it never cross my mind once during a day- to find out someone in that same bracket has passed on is eerie.

At the same time, and going by your last sentence, I'm not sure you still can be prepared for such news of a death despite acknowledging the likelihood and whatnot. Death always catchs people off guard.

Okay, sorry for dampening the mood of the thread now.

I haven't played hockey in a while, and it usually doesn't bother me too much in terms of wanting to play, but right now, I have the mother of all itches. I'd love to get a fresh sheet, about 20 pucks, and let'em rip for a little while.

A McDouble is 2 patties and 1 slice of cheese for $1.
A cheeseburger is 1 patty and 1 slice of cheese for $1.09

So bizarre.

i think i've reached a new low - i'm watching Hot in Cleveland on netflix and fast-forwarding through every scene that doesn't feature Jane Leeves. she looks great, but this Daphne obsession can't be healthy.

Yeah, anything over a week or two and you can definitely feel the drop off in strength.

Freaking sucks, I was on a roll man. Feeling stronger, getting my routines fixed. Then along came the flu.

Had a good intense summer, then i started stuyding and dropped off a little. Got back into it with the addition of Spinning in late october and had been going strong since then.
