“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
I got sleep last night...just between the hours of 7 and noon.
I've been a husk of a person the past week. Too tired to do anything, but unable to get more than an hour or two of sleep a night...
I need to try to pull an all-nighter instead of laying down in bed and just staring at the ceiling one of these nights to try to get my schedule a little more normalized...but I don't have a day off to just waste until Sunday.
On the bright side I added about 5 pages to my script last night...on the down side it was all incoherent garbage and a page of random letters from me passing out on the keyboard.
So I know nothing about computers at all so I thought I'd try you guys.
My computer is a 2.5 year-old Toshiba (Windows 7) that's ran beautifully since the day I bought it. Yesterday I woke up and tried to use it and every mouse click brought on the "hourglass" (or the current version of it) for about 10 minutes each. I got home last night and tried again and same thing. After a couple "restarts" (me yanking the battery out because I couldn't actually click anything), it got back to normal. Oh, I also tried the system restore option which didn't work, I can't remember the exact error message though.
Woke up again this morning, opened it up, and was greeted by a gray screen that didn't change for 15 minutes. Yanked the battery out again and here we are back to normal, but I'm sure as soon as I put it to sleep it's going to do the same thing. Any idea what could be happening?
edit: one thing that does seem weird is that it's really quiet. No whirring noise or sound of the fan at all.
edit: okay now there is a little whirring. goddammit.

I've only seen the first episode of Sopranos. I have the hole first season, but I haven't gotten into it. There are so many shows and it just didn't hook me right away. I'll need to try it again sometime. Currently I am addicted to Lost.
Soprano's box set was well worth the money I spent on it.
i really need to re-visit the middle seasons. everything from the time Ralphie comes on the scene to when Steve Buschemi's character is introduced is a blur. Post-Buschemi is still vivid in mind after all these years.
