Yes, move it along until it's put up for referendum and even if they get through that, there's Goldwater.

Don't forget that on top of all of that, Jamison will still not name his investors and sounds like he doesn't have the money.

You did it to yourselves, Glendale.

I'd move immediately if I lived there, but I guess my mortgage would still be underwater.

I'm not going to criticize them...it's their choice and I hope it works out for them. Best of luck to the citizens of Glendale.

Glendale votes in favour of 20-year, $320 mil arena mgmt deal with #Coyotes suitor Greg Jamison. He now must close w/NHL by Jan 31/13.

This is what also blew my mind.

Man.....The vast majority of arena jobs are unspecialized jobs that are paid little. And the people who do those jobs can easily find new ones in the same area.

People working for cities like Cops and Firefighters will LEAVE if they lose their jobs since those are highly specialized!

And on top of that they bring an insane amount of value to a city!

Madness.... complete and uter madness.....

These council people are fools being played by a bunch of rich people. At least Edmonton stood up to Katz when he was demanding super sweetheart deals.

This is really sad.

Oy, the Government=Household logical fallacy, I don't think they should put this much money on the table, but simple-minded logical fallacies just hurt the cause.

I haven't watched the whole meeting but is this still true? Is Glendale really going to commit $300 million without knowing who they're committing it to?
