Here is one of my first proposals. I'm kinda bored, so keep it friendly if you find out something may be off.
Here it goes :
Montreal receives :
-Evander Kane
-Zach Bogosian
Winnepeg receives :
-P.K Subban
-David Desharnais
-Brendon Gallagher
The goal here for Montreal is getting a grip on Evander Kane's size and scoring ability. His skill set would provide interesting line combinations going foward with Pacioretty and Galchenyuk when he is ready. The loss of Subban definetly hurts, but Bogosian's top end potentiel eases it out a bit.
As for Winnepeg, adding Subban would provide awesome skill on the back-end with Big buff and Enstrom. I was'nt sure if the team would prefer receiving Desharnais or Eller, but I figure out Desharnais as the most interesting of the two players adding some playmaking spark in Top 6. Brendon Gallagher provides a semi-ready prospect that could be interesting down the road.

This is right on par with most leafs proposals, winnie say no maybe p.k and gally and 2nd
You will get a lot of No's from Jets fans. Bogo is an overwhelming fan favourite and most posters wouldn't even consider trading him straight up for Subban.
That leaves the other 2 for Kane. Not going to happen.
Bogo and Kane are the Jets future they aren't going anywhere.

You may need some work on your reading comprehension. He said "work ethic", not character. I think you would be hard pressed to find many players that have a better work ethic than Subban. He lives and breaths hockey. He is at the gym all the time. He is probably the most physically prepared player on his team. He goes balls out, both at practice and in games.

yah i think someones putting a bit of stock in kanes russian experiment, which i would personally ignore. to be entirely honest, i would void all issues/performance/news from other leagues during the lockout when considering value of players. obviously if you can use that to "lower" the value of a player you want i can see why you would but i don't think many will agree with you.
Until the russian experiment, you coul dhave said the exact same thing about kane. he's extrodinarily driven, singleminded, "champion" mentality. The kid loves to win.
and yes.... this is a terrible proposal for the jets. you want the two players worth the most to this team, you pay accordingly. In the bizzaro land where the jets would trade htese two players youd definitly need subban galchenyuk + coming back. yes i'm dead serious. "but galchenyuks third overal all can't miss prospect blah blah blah" and Kane was 4th and bogo was (gasp!) 3rd overall as well. Trust me, you want these two, you pay through the nose, they ARE our core going forward.

I'm not attempting to lower Kane's value, I'm saying I don't want him in Montreal period.
Jets pass on this. Subban is about equal to kane IMO but DD and Gallagher don't bring in Bogo. Really, habs would need to step it up. I don't think this is a situation where WPG gets owned but they certainly don't win. Habs would have to give up someone more proven than gallagher. Eller perhaps. After that, it's closer but still no real incentive for WPG as it's quality vs quantity on 2nd part.
I'd only be interested in Bogo because he's a tougher player and would beef up our d. However, I'm not completely sold on him and the Jets wouldn't sell him cheap at this point.
Love Kane, but the cost to acquire him would be too great.
