Goodbye Yellowbrick Road

Mods: Realize this is CBA-related, and thus may be justly relegated to that all-purpose, deadly dull thread.

Move if you must, but this is not lockout boilerplate. Rather, a "Superfan's" crie de couer. Every word rings true.

Sad to say.

Solid points of view, all shattered by, when hockey is played again, fans who file into their respective teams buildings the moment their team opens the gates and/or go on a nice win streak

Tell you what. I'll just lock this so people can still read it.

If you want to discuss it, do it in the mega thread.

I know when the NFL went on strike and hired replacement players and me and millions of others never went back. If I am correct the NFL never recovered

I know when baseball players quit in 1994 on August 12th and the World Series was never played I know millions of others never went back. If I am correct the Red Sox since 1994 have not had much of an interest

I know when the 2004-5 NHL season was not played me and millions of others never went back. If I am correct the Bruins won a Cup in 2011 but no one cared or showed up for the parade because of the lockout.

the NHL according the Mayan Calendar comes back December 20th for those who care
