Mike Lundin
I wonder if someone can give me a honest and up to date description of Mike Lundin as a hockeyplayer and defenceman?

You'd have better luck asking Wild/Lightning fans. Most Sens fans haven't seen him play yet.

Poor offensive instincts, not speedy, not physical.
Good positioning, active stick, ok first pass, plays both sides of the ice.

He's in the rich man's Gilroy, poor man's Karlsson area.
I hope.

Pretty much this, though he's got average speed IMO. Clearly not a rocket out there, but far from "
Brad Marsh II: Electric Boogalo ". In perfect conditions, he's got like 20-25 point ceiling
at most , and that's if
everything goes to plan, in a career year.
A good defensive player.

I'm pretty sure after the lockout goes the whole season we won't even see him in a Sens uni

Sure Melnyk is glad we gave him a signing bonus.

Well, for starters he has 0 goals and 0 assists. his plus/minus of 0 doesn't really tell the whole story.
You honestly don't ever see him out there, and he's never mentioned.
To me, it's simply inconclusive.

He's David Hale without the explosive offensive capability.

He was a cloning experiment of Mats Sundin that went horribly wrong.

He's a hard working, lunchpail-type player. Sacrifices for the team -- he hasn't missed a single game all year.
