That said, he may want to go back where he's comfortable to improve and then hope to come over and right into a role as a backup.
Can't fault him for going that route, but I think he'd have been better served hanging around for the summer at least.
I would understand it if he was going to a team where he would be in some sort of 1A/1B situation. The problem is, Munich has one of the best goaltenders of the league in Jochen Reimer who has played all but three games last season.
