Its really simple stuff anybody can do if their head is up. I think we could have generated 3-4 more scoring chances on those plays alone.
Totally agree..my biggest pet peeve besides the number of penalties is this..

It seems to happen everytime we have an odd man rush..

One of the things that I have noticed about Stone's play this season is that he is moving his feet a lot more than he has in the past. He isn't standing around and trying to read the play as much as he did in the past.

It was probably because he was on the PK when he scored that goal and was fatigued.

It was a beauty of a shot, pretty much spot on from every technical aspect.

He had it on his stick for maybe a split second and then absolutely rifled it. It was a brilliant release and hit home somewhere in the top right half of the net, just inside the post. I can't do it justice, but it was absolutely NHL caliber.

Great game from him, even before the goal. I'm glad I was able to catch this one.

Benoit was awesome once again, Hoffman played well, and the PK was solid (especially on the offensive, haha).

Thought I post a re-cap from the other side for once, good coverage..what I did in bold is what has been successful on the current 7 game win streak..

Wild One Against Binghamton

It was a wild goal-scoring affair in the first period with Binghamton enjoying a 4-2 lead after the opening 20 minutes. And with that, head coach Terry Murray said the Phantoms were already in a tough spot.

"Teams that have the lead after the first period are going to win games in the .800 range percentage-wise so it's a big chore," Murray said. "You're going to have to dig in big time to be able to get back into it. And we did. The guys showed a lot of work, a lot of pride in their game. A lot of battle and tied the game up. At the end of the day, you don't get the job done but it was a lot of dig in."

Binghamton maintained their claim as the hottest team in the AHL as the speedy Senators won their seventh straight to improve to 11-4-2.

Looks like my anemic offense thread worked as a reverse jinx these past few games.

If the NHL started up tomorrow, the only player that should be called up right now is Silfverberg.

Future captain right there.

Yeah Silver looks the best out of the forward group, Grant could be rewarded for his play if our 4th line center gets injured or something. As for Dman, I would call Benoit up first but if depending on new CBA and risk having go through waivers and lose him, wouldn't be worth it, the next dman after that will be Weircioch.

We are still early on the season, we can not make assessments of who has really looked good or not. Most people here praising Pageau like crazy early on as our first line center etc... and even though he has been very good for a player that went 4th round, you can see the others whom are more experienced and skilled step up like Hoffman, Silfverberg, Grant and I'm confident you'll see Zibanejad start exploding soon.

P.S. Silfverberg really should have 13 points in 17 games. They robbed him of 2 goals.

Can someone make an animated gif out of that Silfverberg goal?

Could see Silf being around 0.80-1.00 in the 2nd half. For all the rookies, it's usually when you come back from Christmas every sees how you've adapted and what you've learned.

Just curious, how so? un-credited deflections?

Shane Prince's goal a while back seems to have touched Silfverberg on the way into the net, and Mike Hoffman's goal last night also seemed to be tipped by Silfverberg.

The 'Prince' goal, was actually quite a nasty tip by Silf. Albeit, it was tipped twice, so the goalie didn't have much of a chance to begin with, but all the same, it was a great display of hand-eye coordination.

It's on YouTube somewhere.
