You should get Murray or Knuble from Boston, or Palffy from LA, or Kovalev from Montreal.

Not sure what they'd cost in terms of a trade, though.

Probably alot.

Didn't Knuble signe with Philly. Arent Palffy, Murray and Kovalev UFA's. You don't need to trade anything for them

I'm guessing there was sarcasm in this post and the previous posts. Either that or I am in the twilight zone

Hull signed a contract with the Yotes offseason

Sutter is unlikely to give up anything near what he would need to to get Hull, Selanne, or Recchi. As far as I know, none of them fit the identity the flames are trying to establish.

Kobasew looks to make the jump to 2nd line this year. One player mentioned I'd love to have though is Knuble. Only makes 800,000 if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if Boston would break up the big line though, and not sure if they'd eat Lydman's 2.4 mil salary...

Knuble for Lydman+3rd

That is a terrible offer, no offense. Knuble was onyl a decent top 6 player because of his linemates. Lydman is a top 4 defenseman and a top 3 guy on many teams. Plus the age difference, I would not do it.

Can Friesen play RW
NJ will be forced to dump some sallary anyways. Friesen is the player that Devils can easly replacxe
So how about :
TO DEVILS: Clark ( servisable 3rd liner) and prospect , lets say McConnell
TO CALGARY: Friesen

Selannes's a UFA and Sutter coached him in San Jose. He thinks very highly of Selanne.

I could see the flames signing him.

Mike Knuble belongs to the Flyers now! Jeez! That being said, if Calgary wants to give the Flyers Lydman and a 3rd for Recchi, I would take it. Might have a problem with the Penguins' organization, but hey. . .

Unless the 24% rollback truly happens, there is no way the Flames can afford Friesen at 3 million. He is a excellent 3rd liner who can play #2 line as a filler but at 3 million, that is expensive. If NJ ate part of his salary and the 24% rollback happened, and Friesen was 2 million exactly, then i would call it a deal.

Lets reserve judgement as to whether the Flames need a 2nd line RW or not after seeing what Kobasew can do in the NHL next season.

There is no way Calgary would go acquire a 2nd line RW, unless the deal involved Kobasew.

Selanne has already served his time in the tundra. I really don't see him going back voluntarily, unless nobody else is interested.
