Stalberg has the advantage so far, because he is already an established NHLer, sort of. But he is a floater.

Either... "floater" and "sort of" don't mean what you think they mean, or you get your hockey knowledge from fortune cookies...

Stalberg has missed 8 games over the past two seasons, 6 of which were due to injury, and has played in all 13 playoff games the Blackhawks have played during that period. He finished with 22 goals. He finished 5th among Chicago forwards for even strength time on ice per game - he was a top-6 forward for a very good playoff team that had poor goaltending. That's not "sort of" established.
