2013-14 English Premier League Round 3

Saturday, August 31, 2013

7:45 ET Manchester City v Hull City
10:00 ET Cardiff City v Everton
10:00 ET Newcastle United v Fulham
10:00 ET Norwich City v Southampton
10:00 ET West Ham United v Stoke City
12:30 ET Crystal Palace v Sunderland

Sunday, September 1, 2013

8:30 ET Liverpool v Manchester United
8:30 ET West Bromwich Albion v Swansea City
11:00 ET Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur

Obviously some big games on Sunday. Hoping to see Henderson played in more of a #10 role this match, think he could give United's midfield some trouble with his running. Let Gerrard sit back more after the 120 minutes on Tuesday.

Worst thing about living on the west coast is the early kickoff times. 5:30 is so damn early.

Bit of a random question...

Anybody know of any bars in Boston where I'd be able to catch the matches on Sunday or if there would be any places that would be open that early at all?

In downtown Boston?

There's going to be quite a few. Phoenix Landing is where the LFC supporters will be. Kinsale Pub's for Spurs fans. I know that much.

Fantastic, thank you.
I'm going to be staying on Dalton St. for the weekend.
Was just worried about finding a place that would be open that early there.
Will give them a call.

There's more than a few Irish pubs and bars in Boston that will have the matches on early. I've got friends up there, so I've been to a few early morning matches. The football supporters are pretty prominent. There's at least a bar that will have more than a few of the bigger clubs. EPL's no problem.

In DC, there are a ton as well. It's really a lot of fun. Day drinking's always a good time. If I didn't have a fantasy draft at 12, I would head into town.

this might also help. I did a quick google search for a few sites, and this one kept popping up.

Considering we're all spending time on a hockey internet forum talking about football, I'm not sure any of us have much of a leg to stand on.

But, yeah, it's a league I've been in a long while and it's a big money deal. So, it is what it is.

Loving the fact that we're playing the Spurs with a paper thin roster while they're adding players like Lamela and Erikson (on top of the other players they already brought)... way to plan ahead you stupid ****

Seriously, can someone give this idiot his walking papers already. It doesn't take a genius to see that we have zero depth and that by over utilising the players we have, we're just opening the door for more injuries.

Can't wait to see what kind of garbage he'll pickup in the last minutes of the window.

Podolski, 28, was stretchered off during Arsenal's 2-0 win over Fenerbahce which sealed their place in the group stage of the Champions League.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger initially said the Germany international would be out for three weeks, but the French coach said on Thursday that he now expects to be without Podolski for up to ten weeks.

Can't believe this but Kolo Toure may play on Sunday and has responded well to treatment. Despite going off on stretcher Tuesday. He is boss.

IDK if you were being sarcastic of not but we might actually win on sunday, but with all the injuries we currently have plus the fact that we had zero depth before everyone started to go down... it'll blow up in our faces in the next couple of weeks, not necessarily on sunday.

That's fantastic news! Even if he can't go Sunday, it's not nearly as serious as previously feared. I really hope he plays but have to be smart. Cannot wait for this match!!

Phoenix opens up just before 8.
And I'm actually heading up there tonight so that'll be two all nighters straight into Phoenix Landing.
Gonna be one hell of a weekend.

Thanks again for the tip.

Thrilled to hear Toure's injury isn't as bad as they initially thought.

With Podolski, Miyaichi & The Ox out for Arsenal, will be interesting to see who Arsene will slot in a LW against Tottenham... Its a huge game, so we'll field the best XI possible... Logically that means that Cazorla could play as a winger to maximize the amount of experienced players on the pitch.

Its well known that Cazorla isn't as influential as a winger than he is as an Attacking Midfielder. Will be interesting to see if Arsene will give Gnabry his first start in the BPL on the wing in order to maximize Cazorla's influence on this big game

Krul rumored to be out with a groin injury. So Newcastle and Fulham both go with backups in a game sure to put fans back to sleep.
