On the bright side, just signed a first XI left back in Cissokho, a goalkeeper who saved us more points in one match than Reina did all last season, and a type of player in Aspas who we haven't had for years. Have the best young player in the league too. Oh yeah and the lunatic is staying, better player than Spurs could sign no matter how much money they got.

Not all bad, still will make a top four push, just got a little more difficult. Have to be better at beating teams like Stoke than they are and get a few jammy results against the good sides.

That's pushing it...
Hazard is only 1 year older than Coutinho.
And there's Nastasic as well who's a year younger and playing/excelling in a very tough position for a footballer his age.

Not to mention Oscar and soon enough de Bruyne will have something to say as well...

For some reason thought Hazard was a year older.

To be fair I don't think SAF didn't rate him.
Seemed like more a butting of heads due to "attitude" issues.
Still should have gotten more looks with the senior team though...

Given United's horrible midfield, he should have started last year.

pogba was nothing short of spectacular in the Suppercoppa match vs. Lazio. He came on for Marchisio, who is out for a month. Blessing in disguise since Pogba is the superior player and Conte wouldn't break up the MVP formation at midfield.

That being said, Marchisio will be off the bench for the season most likely when he returns. Just hope he stays content and patient. He will get a big role when Pirlo retires.

'pool fans have nothing to complain about.

- Won your first EPL game in dramatic fashion in part thanks to a bloody good goalie entering his prime that you purchased this summer.

- Got a couple of talented Spaniards for cheap...hardly ever a bad thing.

- Hoisted a steaming boatload of overrated, overpaid, under-talented English manure onto a bunch of lesser English clubs.

- Kept Suarez and at the very least he's money in your pocket whenever the time is right to sell.

After all the psychotically bad transfer windows of the past 5 years or so, I'd think a nice, prudent, quiet one to be perfectly acceptable this summer.

Local news in Spain say that Arsenal sent over Dick Law (The Legend) to Spain in order to negotiate the transfers of Vincente Guaita (Valencia) & Adrian (Atletico).

David Ornstein (BBC) also said that Arsenal contacted PSG about Sakho.

You know Arsenal are serious about pretending to be interested in buying somebody when they send Dicky Law in to negotiate the failed transfer.

Guaita is quality. No doubt about that.
But why in the hell is his transfer being prioritized right now?
Szcszeeszscvczzzny in goal is hardly the end of the world. More pressing concerns out there....

Chesney needs replacing. Don't know if Guaita is that much better, there's a reason he's been replaced by Diego Alves and all that. Would rather put that 70m war chest to use on Begovic if it was me.

Lassana Diarra has signed for Lokomotiv Moscow.

Yes but like I said it doesn't need to be prioritized at the moment.
Not to mention he was part of the defensive unit Arsenal fans were raving about having conceded the 2nd fewest goals last season after City.

He's not the greatest but there are about 5 other holes I'd look to fill first.

Agreed on Begovic.

And not to downplay the "heroics" of Mignolet but way too much has been made of that.
Now obviously his nerves contributed to his shaky clearances and such at the start but you could see where that penalty was going from a mile away.
Not to mention that I don't consider Walters a footballer. I know him as the bloke who scored two own goals and missed a penalty in a single match, but not as a footballer.

Mignolet will be great no doubt but the fact that people are singing his praises already as opposed to talking about how without Begovic, Stoke loses the opener by at least 4 goals is astounding.

That was actually mentioned a number of times on this board. Often in response to people who criticized Liverpool for not scoring more goals.

Spoken to reps of PSG CB Sakho - say Barca, Milan, Arsenal & Tottenham have contacted to express interest. 12m fee, 6m salary

Wenger is complaining that he doesn't know who to buy? Well here's a list of a couple of players that would immediatly upgrade our team.

- Erik Lamela

I threw his name out there a couple of days ago but certain posters were dead set on the notion that he wouldn't be leaving Roma because they moved a key forward a couple of weeks ago but apparently, he's being rumoured to be heading to the Spurs.

A player of his caliber would be vital for a team who's looking to add some much needed skill up front. We all know that Wenger loves his teenagers and the kid is just 20 years of age and has a very high ceiling. Is he going to come cheap, absolutely not... but that shouldn't be a concern after what we saw on saturday.

- Asmir Begovic

We need a legit #1 keeper and the one we currently have is full of himself, makes stupid decisions more often then not and plays like he doesn't have a care in the world. Giving the young Polak a reality check would be great and landing a stud keeper would be even better.

- Toby Alderweireld

A up and coming CB, who can also play RB, is exactly what we need if Wengers actually wants to send Jenkinson on loan so he can play on a more regular basis. The 24 year old has a year left on his deal and the fee would be right up Arsenal's alley, meaning somewhere around 7m.

- Paul Pogba

Like Lamela, Pogba would be a massive purchase for us at a position that is cleared in need of a solid shot in the arm. Pogba is a world class player and has plenty of room to grow since he's just 20 years of age and is probably the best at his position when considering his skill level versus his age.

- Willian

It's been reported just about everywhere that the Spurs and Liverpool are apparently in a two team race to sign the Brasilian winger. With the departure of Gervinho, the mediocre performances of Podolski, the injury to the OX and our lack of depth... one would think that we'd be in the race to sign him up as well, no?

Those are just 5 examples of players that would drasticly improve our team, so I don't know what Wenger is smoking when he says "buy, buy, buy... buy who?".

If he's looking to add to improve our squad with bids that are wayyyyyyy too low and **** off the opposing team he's trying to negotiate with, well there's only thing to say about that... CHANGE YOUR ****ING PHILOSOPHY YOU IDIOT !!!!

Hard to see Juve turn down 100Million

Impossible to see Arsenal offer 1/5th of that
