Colin Shields

Anyone know where he is playing, had a very good college career, seemed like a good scorer. Why didn't Flyers try to sign him?

Plays for San Diego Gulls (ECHL) with some other former flyers drafts picks/players.

Yes. The Flyers didn't sign him, he's UFA.

I saw him at Disney ice this past summer at the prospect tournament between the Ducks, Kings, Sharks, and Coyotes. He suited up for the Sharks in that tourney, and had a pretty decent showing. He then got a tryout with the Cleveland Barons (Sharks AHL affiliate) where i thought he'd stick due to the losses of their two top scorers from last year, but i guess he got cut, while a couple other invitees from the rookie tournament made the team. One of them, Scott Dobben, was a teamate and i believe a linemate (correct me if i'm wrong) of Jeff Carter with the Greyhounds.

He was traded to the Greyhounds partway through the 2002-2003 season and played the 2003-2004 season with them as well.

He (Shields) was recently traded (2 weeks ago) from San Diego to the AC Bullies.
