Players Who Aren't Exactly Who They're Labeled To Be
Players are always titled or known to be something. Sakic had a wicked wrister. Scott Stevens was known for being physical. Ryan Callahan is a defensive specialist. But can you name some players who are always said to be something, when really that isn't true, or they have other aspects much better. I'll start with my own team. A lot of people call Matt Duchene a playmaker and say he needs a linemate he can feed the puck to. While he can make a great pass, I think he is much more of a goal scorer than playmaker.
Let's see some more examples while we desperately wait for hockey to come back to us.
Subban is not classless. Full of swag yes, lacking class, no.
Swag is twenty times worse than classless.

If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick

In fact, I would start right there. I wouldn't call Cally a defensive specialist - many times, his coverage in the defensive zone is pretty mediocre. What he is though, without a doubt, is an energy player, a hard worker who puts his body on the line. Always hustling, always trying to block shots, always putting in 100%.
People call Chris Stewart a power forward, unfortunately he does not play like one at all, just because he drops the gloves every now and then doesnt make him a power forward.
I have to agree with the classless Subban thing. He's just a kid with a bit of attitude. And we've all seen him check on guys that he caught with clean hard hits to make sure they are ok. I don't see how that's classless.
Alex Burrows is not a dirty player. Check out his suspension history (there is none). And the biting was just because he was hungry. Marc Savard showed how you can get nutrients from a hockey glove...

when you head is against the glass, and someone sticks their thick sweaty leather glove finger in your mouth, what are you supposed to do, suck it?
