The more I think about it, the more Jerry Rice seems like an excellent choice. Rice played 303 Games in the NFL, and was a very good player until his final season. The next highest WRs in GP are Tim Brown and Irving Fryar, who both played 48 (or 3 FULL seasons) less than Rice. He has out of this world career #s, that no one currently is even close to. However, with the game changing (to a much more pass oriented offense), someone may eventually pass his #s (like Gretzky passed Howe after hockey changed).

Tears in my eyes, seeing someone on here mention the great man.

Sticking with the best sport going, I would say Gareth Edwards... although I always thought of him as Bobby Orr - with the hair, and the shortish career, and the absolute greatness...

You would have to say Richie McCaw aswell he's an absolute beast never injured or has an off day let alone year. Lester Piggot aswell he rode winners in 5 different decades at the highest levels.
