Colborne manning the point on the PP. Should be Frattin instead IMO.

PP looking bad- definitely missing Gardiner.

Colborne seems to be on the point? although Kostka is the only one remaining back there at the line.

I don't think Franson will be wearing a Leafs uniform when the season starts up again.

We guessed once how many posts LR would get from a GDT. We all guessed in the 50-200 range, LR ended up doing something like 300

Ahaha. Holzer with a nice hip-check. He's playing much more physical lately.

300??

Good ol' LR. I'm thinking that whenever the Leafs make the playoffs he'll up that to roughly ~500/game

I believe they were isolation Accoin, think he is reaching a milestone of some sort.
Might be wrong though

You're correct. He's looking for his 800th career AHL point.

Quite the milestone. Most people who can put up those kind of numbers find their way to the NHL.

Yes, we started guessing at like 7pm and set a deadline for guesses at 8. The person who won was the last to guess. When they guessed I think some people were already out of the running Good times.

He's like a point away from passing Bruce Boudreau for like 10th in all-time AHL scoring, or something like that.

That seems right, wasn't it tied for 10th or something at 799 points?

So he would move into top 10 and reach the milestone of 800 points in one go.

I get the same feeling, although not from Leafs management standpoint (trade), but more because of his interviews as he doesn't seem to enthusiastic of the thought of returning to the Leafs.

Having that said, it would be a huge mistake letting him go. Im a big fan of Franson's game and he is a big piece of the puzzle moving forward. Hope he stays.

If I were that type of player in the AHL I would probably look for a job in the KHL. A hockey player never knows when their career could end; if he were able to put numbers up in the KHL he could make way more money.

Not for everyone I suppose. I'm sure he's compensated well.

I just think he's too perimeter, and doesn't get involved in high traffic areas to ever translate his offense.

Ugh. How sick would it have been if Schultz came to the Leafs instead of the Oilers.

Gards, Schultz, Rielly for the next decade. Man.

We should get contract rights on # 39 timbits blue team hahahaha. Kid can already get the puck up and can skate.

Hamilton seems to find that path to the front of the net very often.

Abbotsford's goalie has a .959 save percentage. That's insane.

I too don't think Franson would return next season, and to be honest I want no part of him. It's about time leafs fans and the management raised their bars in terms of defensemen.

Ross is steadily improving and showing more confidence this season.

And Abbotsford scores. Not sure what happened to the Marlies there, everyone just shut down for a second.

Franson is young, and pretty good... I think he's still got lots to give. He's got the best shot (for a defenseman) on the Leafs IMO. Very accurate, and he shoots low so produces a lot of rebounds. Obv. Dion has the harder shot, but missing the net as often as he does kills the play.

To me Franson is an NHLer, but one that isn't built around. He will constantly move around teams I believe as the team he is on develops or signs someone better.
