Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

A very good win and should be a high moral victory as well after such a defensive gaffe at the dying minutes.

Marlies go back home to face the Grand Rapid Griffins Tomorrow at 3.

kadri had a trurnover at opponents zone in first shift of overtime, he lost control of the puck

but than tied up the stick in front of scrivens as the guy was about to put it in, he hustled on that play, like that

that is wat i want to see, make up for a turnover

Kadri has two great moves and i've seen him score a couple on quick deke straight shots. Better to try out new moves in the ahl.

I know, they are both sick, trying out new deked he can use on nhl goalies

the funny thing is

kadri is like 2 for 15 in Ahl, in shootouts

but in NHL, he is like 4 for 7

Seems like colborne tried that datsyuk deke that kadri does really well and the goalie was all over it. That one and the backhand that kadri does are probably read pretty well now. I think kadri was going for that quick shuffle five hole thing that malkin and kovalchuk seemed to score on all the time last year.

i guess it's nice to shoot to keep that in the mind of goalie
but most of the time, i want him to deke, that's his best asset

He is a bust and that is his best asset for sure!
I wish there had been room for him on the leafs last year, you can see that pro confidence in Frattin and he is really dominating. That being said, I certainly don't think Frattin is playing at a higher level then kadri, they are certainly on par. I wonder how kadri would be playing down there this year if he felt he was an nhl lock like frattin? He'd probably be putting on a show most nights.
edit: and i know that above statement might sound strange but after watching every frattin marlies game this season it just seems like most of the time he plays with a really confident almost cocky game that he only touched on last year with the leafs. I honestly think that frattin's ahl game is going to translate to the nhl no problem and his last year mixed with this lockout year will be a huge developmental step.

No, not at all. He's won a few games for the leafs and been really good in the nhl. He'll be a decent enough nhl player eventually. I think if he had been playing the last couple years in the nhl it would have been a waaaay better thing for his development (you have to learn from the best obviously, anybody that has done hockey or anything in life would recognize this), but we'll see how it goes.

It wasn't meant as a knock on Kadri, it was just funny because of the timing of the comment followed up with the exact opposite having seconds later, lol.

I was only watching intermittently throughout the game but the Kadri-Frattin chemistry was pretty great.

The subtle drop passes and criss-crosses happen so naturally between them. It doesn't hurt that one likes to play-make and the other loves to shoot either.

Ah, i was watching the rochester feed.
At this point after watching two seasons of marles games i'm almost surprised when he does score on the shootout.

he's having a terrible season yet again. And this time he's apparently healthy.

should just cut our losses and maybe consider trading him soon.

You cant trade a player when there is no CBA. I really dont see the urgency, seems the young people of today have very little patience.

At the same time, who wants him?
I don't think there will be any takers on him, at least not for anything of value. May as well just keep him and hope he turns it around.
