Sounds like #Esks will fill out coaching staff this week. Kris Sweet (OL), Travis Moore (WR), Leroy Blugh (D-line) and Brad Miller (DB) #cfl

Leroy Blugh was one of my favorite players when I was a kid. I always loved when he made made a big play. "The fumble recovery by Leroy Bluuuuuuuuugh!"

That is bizarre, he just signed an extension last year as far as I know.

Do you remember the length of the contract he signed last year?
Regardless he's one of the few bright spots on our team and I'm happy he wants to stay here and play in front of arguably the best fans in the CFL.

saw a picture of the coaching staff in the paper today. didn't go in depth but looks like a bunch of recycled old white guys.
not much new blood in there. if that's good or bad, I don't know.

When did Leroy Blugh and Travis Moore turn white?

Appears Marcus Crandell will not be back.

Now, if we can just get confirmation that Joseph is done, I'll consider it a decent off season.

@Morley_Scott: GM Ed Hervey says the remaining #Esks Free Agents will go to Free Agency on Friday. J Williams and W Brown are the biggest names left

Tough one to lose Weldon Brown. Always thought he was our best all round dback and very dependable. Hervey has some work to do on that defensive backfield as well as a kick returner and blocking back. Might get some guys at free agency. Would love to get Larry Taylor if he hasn't signed with the Stamps yet. Odell Willis still out there as a rush end too.

Desmond Marrow and Marcus Rivers both sound interesting. Good size anyway.

As does Tavoy Moore. According to here, he's listed as 5-6, 192. Those short stocky returners have such low centers of gravity they can be tough to knock over. If he has any kind of moves and footspeed, he could be a nice surprise. We haven't had a top notch returner in forever.

Gizmo was 5-6, 185ish I believe. Just saying

well, I am officially an idiot.
like some people with the oilers, I keep giving the esks my money. just gave the esks a big pile of money and renewed my seasons tickets.
they better not take forever getting my my god-darned new seats. if the team has to suck, I want to be comfortable.

At least you don't have to take out a proverbial loan to buy Esks season tickets.

I understand the city's love for the Oilers, I love the Oilers, but the price of tickets is offensive and I refuse to give them a ******* dime until the product gets better. We've had to endure some nasty seasons with the Esks as of late but I never feel like I'm getting ripped off when I go to a game.

According to hints from Hervey, we may be in for some news come Friday when free agency hits.

I hope they try to address their defensive backfield issues.

I still find it a treat to go to a game. there isn't the same time commitment as there is with the oilers, having to spend 42+ nights going to games. no times where there is 3 games in a week.

financially, yeah. it's way different. I have the most expensive tickets one can purchase for the esks, and the total cost is still less than buying two tickets in the golds for the oilers.

I have a fun evening sitting outside having a couple of beers with my best friends watching people and watching football. good chance to catch up with the guys and have a good time, even if we often complain about what we see on the field.

They'll be active. Also, Joseph may be back. Please don't shoot the messenger.

Some #eskimos news: Julius Williams will not be back with team. Kerry Joseph will. Weldon Brown will get an offer before FA hits. #cfl

Never really believed they'd get rid of him. He and Reed are too tight and nepotism runs deep in this organization.

I still enjoy it if not the product on the field. Commonwealth is a great facility and a nice place in the summer to spend some hours in the sun. I so much prefer this to an indoor stadium. I don't think I'd even be going to it if it was an indoor stadium.

Agree with you as well as per amount of games played. I can't see going to +40games/year. These days I go to half a dozen Esks games per year at most.
