You get the respect you dish out. BJ has never been a respectful fighter himself.
Agreed with this. It's not about BJ, but just the general idea of disrespecting an opponent in the middle of a fight. You want to show him up? Finish him off.

Whatever Penn says outside of the ring, it's to hype the fight. Inside of the ring, all I've seen from him is class. He doesn't showboat, all he does is fight.

That's how I'd prefer to do it too, but I have no issue with someone doing that to BJ Penn.
Rory is a great talent but drop the act, man. You're a big 170 fighting an unmotivated, out of shape, 155 that doesn't take the sport seriously. You won convincingly as you should have. Act like it.

Lol Rory says he wanted to finish off Penn. It didn't look like it. He had a chance to during the first and the second round but he did nothing with it. When he had BJ on the ground, he was pretty passive.
Hopefully BJ learned his lesson and will drop to 155. Similar to Nate Diaz when he was man handled by Rory.
BJ needs to retire. He can only get "motivated" to fight in David vs. Goliath fights and this sport is too evolved for that at this stage. He had a great career and while I appreciate his willingness to fight anyone (a lot of UFC fighters should take note), it's time for him to hang them up.
