Big come from behind win for the Avs over the Rangers. Colorado took the early lead with a breakaway goal from Jones midway through the first, but the Rangers would tie it going into the intermission on a PP goal by Rick Nash.
Carl Hagelin would put NY ahead 30 seconds into the 2nd period. Ryan O'Reilly tied it up at the 8min mark, but Chris Kreider would answer right back less than a minute later. Shots through the first two periods were 7-11 in NYR's favor.
Colorado turned up the heat in the 3rd, holding NYR shotless, while putting 13 towards Lundqvist, scoring 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of the game to come from behind for a big victory.
It was a great game. I would have been thrilled to have even lost 3-2 against TBC's Carolina GM, who is vying for the Stanley Cup over there.

They have gone 9-3-0 since the trade and now find themselves in first place in their division and 2nd in the western conference. Radim Vrbata has helped pick up the scoring void caused by Vermettes departure, having scored 18 points in 22 games. Mike Smith remains one of the best goaltenders in the league this season, having picked up all but 2 of the teams wins while posting a sparkling .929 save percentage.
