Also what's the new(ish) Calgary GM's HF name? The front page still has Chessarmy listed.

Not unless the rosters are updated--which, at this point, there is no reason to believe will be the case.

I'm not a part of it, but I imagine not. There is nothing indicating that EA is going to implement new, and improved prospects in to GM Connected. Connor McDavid, and the updated ratings for certain prospects have merely been added for standard offline game modes. The latest update to GM Connected was so that EA could improve server stability, which was - previous to the upgrade - rather quite terrible.

will be a lot more active starting this afternoon! Finals will be over by then and i'm looking forward to playing all of my games! I've been doing a terrible job messaging my opponents so i'll be sure to start doing that as well.

Sensi are you going to stop the double advances after the trade deadline? Since so much of the season was simmed already i think it'd be nice if the last 20 games were decided by the GMs and not the sim.

Meh, I'd rather continue with the double-advances (and I have a losing SIM record).

The particular challenge in this league is to build a team that can compete in playable games and be a good "SIM" team. I think a bunch of guys made deals on that logic, so changing the advance schedule in the final month seems a bit off. (If we wanted to do it in the future, I think that might be ok. But I don't think we can make that change now).

That's also probably an extra week of playing time before next season. Doesn't seem like much, but if you add those extra weeks over a few seasons, it might make a difference in how far we get forward.

I have a lot going on this week, and since my record is abysmal (SIM periods KILL me) I am focusing on TBC right now.. I will say go ahead and play Pitt's CPU for this block at least..

i think we should just do this for the last bit, to make the races more interesting and give us a little more control on our destinty's, will take a bit longer however is mangeable

Keep the advances like we have, if ppl wouldn't have liked it at once, sure, now lets stick to the ordinary plan.

Hey ref: incidental contact outside the crease does not warrant a goaltender interference penalty just because he ends up scoring on the play.

Yeah no idea why that was called. The contact looked more like Rinne initiated it doing the splits into your guy. Thought you had the game for sure.

I think all this luck is getting to me too early, I need it for the playoffs not now.

Oh well, thank you Santa/EA.

I think it was just the hockey gods not wanting you to lose out on a point because the game was so even throughout. Just glad you didn't score on that power play with less than a minute to go. I would have raged.

I think I'm winless whenever I score a goal in the first minute of the game. Should probably stop doing that.

Your SIM record is insane.

and are getting left behind during the double-advances.

Yeah I think playing the games instead of simming would make for a better playoff experience. So no more double advances until the start of the new season.

awesome, i know people are going get annoyed, and i understand its against the model of a team that plays and sims well, but i think it should come down to skill and how you play to make it into the playoffs, makes for tighter races, and more challenging opponents. I mean its only the last few weeks of the season and then the playoffs, playing skill should factor into the mold now.

If this is what people want to do, that's fine, but doesn't it basically then replicate the Bluth ration of played games to sim games? At this point, we've simmed roughly 30 games a piece and played 30 games a piece (give or take, per team). Now we are going to play the last 20, so instead of being a 50/50 split (more or less), it will be nearer a 2-1 ratio?

Maybe have a triple advance at some point next season to offset?

RULES:
==========================================

-Game Schedule: 2 weeks=3 real days schedule, games will be played for 2 weeks, 3 real days, and then i will sim the 2nd 2 week, 3 real day period. This means that roughly 1/2 of our season will be involuntarily simmed. This will be done so we can fit in a few more seasons and hopefully play about 9-11 seasons instead of 4-6 with no advance and 7-9 with TBC advancing schedules.. This league will now focus even more on prospect growth and development and the management of your long term assests.
Keep the rules you set.

I actually think it might have made sense to triple advance coming into the trade deadline and make more games playable after, but really, I think we should with the original schedule--it might make the difference of 1 or 2 seasons over 6 months, and it will differentiate Sitwell from Bluth.
