No kidding. That #90 dude better keep a close eye on his knees.
Can't believe there was no flag on the play either. There was a ref not even 5 yards away, who had to look thru them to see the play on the field, and he still didn't flag it.
Given that Richt told the whole team to celebrate the first TD of the game against Florida that year, and gave up the 15 yards... Wouldn't surprise me at all to tell him it's ok to take a penalty to stick up for their QB. He seems like he'd be old school like that.
The Cubs expect to meet with teams regarding Alfonso Soriano during the upcoming winter meetings in Nashville, major league sources tell Jon Paul Morosi and Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. Soriano holds a full no-trade clause and is owed a total of $36MM over the next two seasons.
The 36-year-old is still likely to garner strong interest from teams who need right-handed power and the Cubs are willing to include cash in the deal to make it work. Soriano may be more valuable than expected, when considering the two-year, $10MM contract free agent Jonny Gomes just received from the Red Sox. The Phillies would appear to be a strong fit for Soriano as they are still looking for a right-handed outfield bat to replace Hunter Pence, who was shipped to the Giants at the trade deadline.
Sad to hear about Rick Majerus. Was a good coach and even a better man. In fact his being a better man got him and Utah in trouble with the NCAA in what is I still think the worst NCAA violation ever. Not on their part on the NCAA.
Keith Van Horn has just found out his father had died and Rick Majerus went to Van Horn and told him not to worry he would drive him out to the airport and stay with him until his flight left for home. As they where in the airport Majerus offered to buy Van Horn something to eat while they wait, so he bought him McDonalds at the airport, something that turned out to be a $5.63 bill I believe. The NCAA and all it's glory decided to put Utah and Majerus on probation for providing a player with benefits. That's right buying a kid a hamburger as he mourns his fathers death in an empty airport in Utah gave that team such an unfair advantage and just slapped the NCAA in the face of we will do what we want.
Majerus was a good man and did the right thing and the socialist party of the NCAA punished him for it.
