Because the Stars aren't the Cowboys. I think doing that would really piss off all the die hards around here. The Cowboys have put a bad taste in DFW's mouth for the past 16 years. The new stadium is an absolute joke. They aren't America's team anymore (that probably goes to NE now).

The Texas Rangers and Mavs wear blue and white. The Rangers have a red jersey too. The design in the OP is modeled like the Texas flag. I understand why blue makes since, but the Stars have been here for almost 20 years and have history with green/black.
I think the suggestion that they lack colour is true - so there should be more of the green added to the jersey. Move back towards the jerseys they had when they won the cup.
Dallas Stars' new jerseys are awful. The worst in the NHL. Just says "Dallas" on them. It would look so much better if it had the Stars logo on it. But yeah, they should go back to their old jerseys. They were nice.

I don't have a problem with the jersey in the first picture. The blue is vibrant enough to surpass the jackets jersey and the logo looks nothing like the rangers. In fact, those colors make the Dallas star logo "pop" and it looks soo Texan like it should be. Its a good idea not to include the goofy star design on the sweater because the star logo is good enough

This has been talked about non stop on the Stars board. The whole red white and blue thing was brought up by our color analyst, Daryl "Razor" Reaugh. It's is pretty much unanimous amongst Stars fans that green needs to be the main color.
The latest rumor of color scheme is something with green/silver and white. Someone said blue might be somewhere in that too. The logo is likely changing as well. Our owner was on local radio a couple weeks ago and said he wants a timeless/traditional sweater. I highly doubt the final version is anything like the OP.
Also, the reason the Stars had to change the design to the current one is because RBK said the star striping was too complicated. (I'm talking about the star outline throughout the pits of the sweater).

I disagree. The white jerseys were sick I agree, but the green/black combo made the players look like they were wearing pajamas.
Hell to the no on those Dallas Cowboys sweaters. Crossover/hybrid uniforms should be banned in professional sports. The Knicks/NYI alternate jersey is ugly enough.
