I have a couple questions regarding it to those that are familiar with it.

First, what does it mean by % owned?

Second, I wasn't able to make my darft until round 12 so I pre-ranked my players and I had a pretty decent team auto-drafted to me but when I joined the draft I didn't get any goalies. So the goalie crop was pretty thin at the time so I ended up picking up Holtby and Bernier.

My thought with Bernier was that hopefully a team would get anxious and make a move for him and give him some time. But I realize in the course of this pool especially on a shortened season I'm pretty much dead in the water if one of my goalies only plays once every 6 or 7 games.

So now to my question I checked the remaining available goalies and I figure these are best options for a pick up until Bernier does something or maybe I just eventually drop him if he remains the Kings back-up all season, but who would you pick up between:

Lindback
Markstrom(I have him on my radar because I think this could be the year he takes over as a #1 in the NHL)
Reimer

Let me know your thoughts.
all I can tell you is I believe "% owned" is the percentage of players that have the player active in their pool.

"% owned" is the percentage of leagues where the player is on a team. Basically if there's 100 leagues on Yahoo and 50 of them have Crosby on a team he'd be 50% owned.

I'd probably go with Lindback. He'll be the #1 there and I think TB will be better than the Leafs.

I think Holtby is starting, so don't move him yet.

Yeah right now I have Lindback and Markstrom as a tie and Reimer as the easy plan c because you know he'll likely get the bulk of the games for the first couple of weeks.

My thinking with Markstrom is he has the edge on Theodore because he has been playing in hte AHL during the lockout and if Florida can repeat what they did last year he is a bit more attractive of a pick than Lindback, but the drawback is if he will definitely get more games than Theodore.

Yeah Holtby is set in stone it's Bernier who is gonna bring me down, but I have one more spot that I can use on my bench, so I would bring in a goalie who would actually play right now and keep Bernier on the bench until he gets a chance or until it's clear that he's deadweight.

Lindback will get 35+ starts. Markstrom will be lucky to get 20. Lindback is a clear choice here.

Sounds like the Canucks are quite banged up going into the season. Kesler, Hamhuis and now Booth. As an Oiler fan i feel their pain but hopefully they dont beat us as bad this season and maybe we even win a decent amounts of games against them.

Nice to see other teams experience the injury plague the same way we have the past few seasons.

Now just knocking on wood for our guys!

Zajac: 46 million over eight years

I think this sure makes the Eberle and Hall contracts look good.
I really don't think he's worth 5.75 cap hit a year. just my opinion, though.

Sounds like Tom Gilbert hurt himself during the Wild's scrimmage tonight.

Well, I'm at the Canucks scrimmage, and first shift, Barker fell flat on his face.

So $5m/year 6 year deal for Edler. Good deal if he's healthy.

So what games is everyone going to watch?

Philly vs. Pittsburgh will be the one I'll be tuning into.

Still can't believe Minnesota is keeping Dumba..

Did he stop being awful for a few days in camp or something? Or are they just that thin?

In all likelihood I think Dumba is just going to get the 4-5 games and he'll be going back to Red Deer.
They are missing Brodin and Scandella I think.

The NHL's Twitter feed is really pimping the Kings' banner ceremony whilst using that infuriating #HockeysBack hashtag. Hockey didn't go anywhere you goobers.

And the Oilers get crap for rushing kids. Dumba couldn't even make the WJC team and D men almost always need some seasoning post draft.

Their D is thin after Suter and Gilbert though.

He's only staying for the 5 games.

He might not even play a game.

It's always a relief to see the Cup leave the hands of opposing teams.

Hey, TSN and Sportsnet: You see how CBC is airing a live stream of their games on their website?

Doooo it.

It'll probably never happen. Cable companies have too much power and won't allow it.

Edit: Is the NHL website sucking as bad for everyone as it is for me? 3 minutes to refresh the scores?
