Great....Nesterov and Yarullin are still together. It's a defensive accident waiting to happen.

I'm still amazed how Varnakov really uses Kosov poorly. Yes Kosov's finishing ability is suspect, but his other skills are great and he's a beast physically.

he's a pk guy, who can do some work in front of the opposing goalie; therefore, third line player, 2nd on a good day.

Kosov can be an elite checking line player on a 4th line for NT someday. A specialist workhorse that is a rare sight for Russian teams

What? Kosov can be a great 2nd line player at junior level if used correctly...or a monster on the 3rd. Russia doesn't have too many guys who can skate, play defense, hit and do the dirty work and still have the talent to keep up with the elites.

These top 2 lines would be great

Slepyshev - Grigorenko - Kucherov
Kosov - (Sigarev/Khokhlachev) - Yakpuov

I agree he deserves a top 2 at juniors for his overall level like you said, but his finishing can unfortunately be really bad. Almost detrimental to the scoring lines philosophy.

Kosov? I would say he'd be a 0.3 pts per game, if in top 3 lines, which he probably will be.

I think Makarov and Vasilevski are expected to split starts/Russia will just ride whoever has the hot hand. Basically, what they did last year.

This team looks seriously deadly this year. Those goalies could make all the difference in this thing.
