By an eastern conference team. We get no respect from the west because apparently the eastern conference can't play defense

Is tying up on faceoffs banned, or tying up on faceoffs and then going on a breakaway banned? Also if the 1st option is banned, i apologize in advance if I do tie someone up on a faceoff because I only know how to win faceoffs, and nothing else.

Something one of us should probably do in our games. What did you have last night? 5 goals on 16 shots?

Nothing wrong with that loss but I have a problem with my loss to BOS and NYR. In the BOS game it went to OT and i'd say the GWG was both my fault and Howard's fault. It was my fault because I never picked up the puck when I should have, and Howard's fault for letting in a soft 5-hole goal. That was a piss off, but the NYR's game gets even worse. Howard let's in a goal my grandma could have saved and he leads it 1-0, Kikuts has a glorious chance to make it 1-1 but some how Lundqvist makes an impossible save. I eventually brought it back to 3-2, but i honestly couldn't do anything in the finaly minute of the game. I'm pissed about the losses but im pleased with my play so far this season. It helps when the monster known as John Scott is able to produce points lol
I can't help but notice you forgot to mention the rebound one-timer from the goal-line in the corner, which somehow managed to get in on Lundquist...

There were some weird goals in that game, that's for sure.

I don't know what gets into me when I play you Gary. I feel like when I play you my shot % is around 30-40% lol. You and Tampa. Probably more dumb luck than anything else.

Has Winnipeg been around? Looks like he isnt in the league right now. Just need a loss to him to complete my winless block!

Please do name names. Tying people up off the draw is not allowed. It's too effective

Wait, we went from it isn't allowed in excess / it isn't allowed when it creates the (near) automatic breakaway to a complete prohibition?

My impression was that it was banned at centre ice completely and used everywhere else within moderation... but I could be wrong.

Oh, in that case, my bad.

I used it a few times in our game at center--but I always went back to the defense and paused so as not to glitch the AI defenseman.

I think banning it might be a bit over-the-top. It will essentially take most of the technique out, and simply award the face-off to the guy with the higher rating.

my main problem wasn't the trapping (or extremely passive) play so much as the centre ice tie up to score a game winning goal. trapping is of course fine and is a (boring, but realistic) part of the sport, the other, as has been pretty well established, is not. i use the tie ups almost only on penalty kills and never at centre ice where opposing team's wingers are much too far away to do a thing and its an automatic win.

I dunno. I think technique should matter to some extent. The best guys in the league win, what 60 percent? If you reduce it to simply rating, the better guy will win far more than that, no?

The Eriksson goal? That wasn't on the goal line from the corner, Byfuglien took his usual monster shot from the point, and Eriksson buried the rebound as he was streaking in, but that was a strange game for sure.

If, by streaking in, you mean drifting toward the corner...

No, but the Staal goal was awful, I can't dispute that. I was just trying to dump it in my backhand, and it went five-hole.

Both goalies made some difficult saves, but let in some softish goals. Weird game.

All of my hard work pays off in the end with a 4-1 win against the leafs. The game was 1-0 headed into the 3rd, but I had the lead in TOA, and once the 3rd hit I completely took over. Christensen with 2 goals in this one and it's nice that my 3rd line produces just as well as my top line if not better. Eriksson has been hot with 4 goals in his last 4 games as well as 5 points. Crosby with 3 goals in his last 3. Byfuglien is the shocker though with 9 points in 10 games. I only have Phoenix left to play this block and I hope I can keep this play up.

he wasn't drifting into the corner... at least I don't think he was, im pretty sure he streaked in from the top of the circle and got the rebound, but your right that was a strange game.

he's awful.

And Sensi lied. Told me he wasn't going to start Mason...

4 goals on the first 6 scoring chances--including one horrendously slow, unscreened five-hole wrist shot from the point, and two awful rebounds.

Fourth goal was a nice set up. Didn't really have a chance there.

Wasn't horrible after that, but not a promising start.

I did notice in our game at one point that Stannek was going 1-on-1 with 5'7" Cory Conacher. He then tried to hit Conacher and ended up only with a slight tap.
