Could anyone see a trade that nets us Tyreke Evans for Bargnani + Ross working out.
With Bargnani going to another team for picks (Minne?) and Ross + the picks going to Sacramento for Evans.
It'd get rid of Bargs, give Davis more playing time, then you could try Derozen at the 3 to get a little reshuffle.
No thanks. Evans is good but he's not that good. Ross can still be a very decent scorer in this league. He's not shooting the ball that well this year but he's a rookie. It's not like he just forgets how to shoot a ball in a hoop. Unless he has Fielditis.
I don't think Evans is the kind of player we need. He doesn't stretch the floor very well (something the Raptors lack aside from Andrea, Lowry and Calderon (doesn't shoot enough anyways). Kleiza just shoots 3s for the hell of it. Everyone knows Derozan is a bad 3 point shooter and like I said earlier Ross has struggled, but he can still shoot it. The Raptors really need a playmaker who can shoot threes and now my earlier post about the mock draft of us picking a guy compared to Ray Allen somewhat makes sense.
If we move one of our SGs + Bargnani for a big upgrade at the 3/4. Steal Ben McLemore in the draft this year (considered a steal because we weren't expected to have a top three pick). We'd have a pretty decent team if we could Davis continues to develop and Amir could even try some time in the post with Val? Not sure if that's been tried this year but that would be some serious rebounding.
Anyone been watching Open Gym? It's pretty interesting to watch. Casey puts so much focus on defense in the practices. Nice to see, but still concerning that we aren't seeing any improvement in our defensive play in the games. Our players really have no excuses to not get our defensive numbers to what they were last season.

Honestly I don't get it. Casey is awesome. Not sure why guys can't focus with him. I blame Andrea tho.
Its tough to not get scored on when one of your big men isn't doing any defending.
He doesn't defend and he doesn't rebound so when one of our central figures on the team isn't doing 2/3rds of what he's supposed to then you start to realize who the problem is.
Andrea is averaging 4.6 rebounds a game...I'll say that again. Andrea Bargnani who is 7 ft tall is averaging less rebounds than DeMar DeRozan. LOL just unbelievably bad. Remember when we drafted him, experts and us fans were comparing him to Dirk Nowitzki. What an embarrassment for Dirk, If I could apologize to him I would.

Yep hes averaging that much while playing the second most amount of minutes a game. Then a guy like Ed Davis is averaging more, coming off the bench playing 15 mins.
Am I missing something? Cause clearly Bargs should be the one on that bench and Davis should be start. I really would love to see them trade Bargs for a pick to a contender that could use him on the bench. Then trade that pick in a package (with Derozen or Ross) to get a 3. We need too.

The problem is, if you want to trade him we need to hope he makes his value go up. He's been playing like a dumb dumb lately and his value is going down really screwing this team over.

Yea but its not like teams won't know what theyre getting with him, he's been in the league long enough that they can make that judgement/prediction. He'd make a solid player coming off the bench.
When teams lose and lose bad the coach always get blamed (in some instances its well derserved) but the reality is you could bring in Phil Jackson or Greg Popovic and this team wouldnt be all that much better. Maybe 7-13 or something but would still be brutal and out of the race.

How can we even be sure we'd have an improvement with those coaches? It's up to the players to perform..

Doesn't help when your "best" player (he called himself that), Bargnani, is a big man that is lazy, tries to drain threes the whole game and doesn't get rebounds. They need to get an actual leader on this team to help them increase their compete level. Lowry would help if he didnt get injured every other game.
