The Raptors have pretty much always had attendance that far exceeded the on-field performance. Last year, with the team tanking for a pick, the team was still one of the top 10 most valuable franchises in the league and have one of the largest fanbases (which can also be seen in how large some of the raptors boards are on various sites).

This season they're averaging 18,800 and last year they finished with 16,800. This year's attendance is ~12% more than last year, which can probably be due to a few things other than the lockout such as more aggressive sales/promos, the additions of JV & Lowry, the hope that the team would actually be fighting for a playoff spot with the protected pick belonging to OKC, etc.

LOL This is more fuel for the bashers that Toronto just loves bad teams.

Can't wait for the Jays to bring respect back to this city

I get the feeling Bargs is playing like **** cause he wants to be traded. Earlier in the year, he was adamant that this team make the playoffs this year, and to see this team failing; he ain't trying.

It is certainly hard to argue.....Very few markets in NA that would support their franchises to the extent that Toronto supports the Leafs and Raptors and even the Jays considering how poorly these teams perform.

The Raptors are an absolute gong show. They too, have a GM who is supposedly a great executive running the show. Much ado about nothing.

Which Brian gets axed first.

Should be a new reality show.

The Raptors support has been great. There's some very competitive teams with **** attendance.

It bothered me when the Grizzlies left Vancouver, people lumped the Raptors in with them in the U.S media as going to Canada was such a mistake by the NBA. (And BTW-Memphis' attendance has been terrible and it's a worse NBA market than Vancouver ever was).

And BTW, people say Toronto is a crappy sports town? There's no market on this continent with so many bad teams, yet the attendance is very solid. The Jays attendance this year went up strongly, yet the team stunk.

It's tough for the Raptors, because who the hell do you get instead of Collangelo? At least the Leafs have their pick of a lot of top executives. The Raptors might be forced to keep their Brian, just because there's no one else to hire.

In return, we can bash teams that are doing alright and still can't draw flies (i.e Philly 76'ers)

With the Raptors have to think most don't care about the team and are just there to see the star power on the other side...

As a huge Rap fan (see my avatar) the fans seriously need to not go to any games, save their hard earned $$ and boycott this team, until Colangelo and Bargnani/Calderon are gone. Don't support a crappy product. You wouldn't buy a car that has a bunch of failures and defects and needed to be recalled, would you? Most of these numbers are probably corp seats being bought anyways. I don't get this cities fans sometimes in general though. It's like we celebrate mediocrity and are just happy to have "pro" teams.. Toronto deserves better. At least the Jays are doing something.

Todays game should be hilarious with all the Linsanity fans from last year. Those Knick games were a pain to watch on TV.

Especially when tickets for the Rockets game (for example) 'Come watch Jeremy Lin play! Great seats!' from resellers.

Ugh it's so annoying when Jack sings while the other guy is actually trying to say something.

There's typical Calderon defense right there.

Wow Calderon and Davis look like Malone and Stockton today daaaaayuum. Caldy might get another triple-double. Only needs 3 rebounds and still a quarter to go.

I know it's just two games, but Davis is showing BC that he really needs to deal Bargnani.
