Bring Carcillo back to Phoenix, Coyotes could use a guy for the 4th line (3rd with Torres out), Klinkhammer back to Chicago provides depth and the draft pick sweetens the pot.
I could see this going down when the lockout ends.
I heard one of the reasons Maloney moved Carcillo was that he was thought to be a bad influence on the younger guys on the club. If that's true, I doubt Maloney brings him back.
Don't see this happening- I like Klinkhammer well enough but he's a clear downgrade from Carcillo right now, and with so many kids in the AHL ready to make the jump it doesn't make much sense to bring in someone else that's just going to get immediately scratched once guys like Pirri, Morin, Saad, and Hayes make their way up.
While not ideal, Carcillo showed that he could a least keep up on a second line with Kane and Hossa, and in fact had pretty decent chemistry with them.

Not true. Maloney really did not want to trade Carcillo because Carcillo was a huge fan favorite with the little fanbase that we had. But, he felt like he couldn't refuse the Upshall and 2nd offer for him.

You're right, the 4th rounder really sweetens the pot.
Why would Hawks move a quality bottom 6 forward for player we already had who has no future outside of being AHL/NHL tweener at best and a 4th round pick?
My mistake I guess, I thought Carcillo was expendable because of Saad/Hayes/Bollig/Pirri/Shaw/everybody else coming up. Didn't know he was still a guaranteed player to pencil in
Saad and Pirri aren't fits for bottom 6 role (4th line especially)
Bollig is nothing more then a 13th forward really and Shaw/Hayes though promsing are not guaranteed to play as well going forward as they did as rookies
Carcillo is proven guy who can play bottom 6 role and step into top 6 role in emergency need for short duration
Phoenix really has no need for DC, we have plenty of guys in our bottom 6 (Chipchura, Johnson, Bissonnette, Torres, Moss, Gordon, Korpikoski, and any of the forward prospects that are looking good and ready to make a jump). Out of those bottom 6 we have 3 that can realistically help out in the top 6 if needed so it would be kind of pointless.
Carcillo was a plesant surprise last year. Glad he was extended. Klink has no value and players like him can be sigend every day as free agents. That 4th really has about as much value as Klink.
I'd like to have Carcillo back, but he was traded because he got into too much trouble on the ice and was a pegged man with the refs. Plus, i heard he messed with the younger players in the locker room a little too personally. I guess he constantly made fun of Mikkel Boedker's acne problems to the point where it became an issue.

There were also rumors of behavioral problems. On ice discipline was obviously a huge problem. He generally hurt his team more than helped. That might fly with Wayne Gretzky but Dave Tippett isn't going have that nonsense. In addition to that, though, were the rumors that he was a poor teammate. Specifically a bully. More specifically he gave Mikkel Boedker an inappropriately rough go of things. I don't remember the source and it might be bunk. Still, the on ice problems are enough for me to not want to touch this player with a ten foot poll.
