LOL good one! No some scrub backup that used to play for us, and own us all the time, then cost his team game 6 due to brutal goaltending.

It's a lot easier to put every NHL player ever on one list and remove them to come up with a list of player Bleedred hates

Add Boulton, and pretty much Janssen(When he's on the ice only) to that list.

I liked him when he played for us, but I hated all the talk of ''Devils don't need Marty! Clemmer was just as good that year!'' as well as all the posts on the TG blog post game 7 against Carolina. ''If Clemmy played we win this game! We need a good butterfly goalie!"'

After he left he beat us every time we played him. He got in the teams head when he came in during game 3, and unofficially shut us out. He has a massive ego for a backup that didn't get a full time NHL position until he was in his 30s, and was drafted in the 8th round(We don't even have 8 rounds no more do we?) He talked a bunch of trash about how he can beat Marty, and anyone else before we whooped him in game 4. Then in game 6 he lets in two weak goals. Many people were worried about him in that series but ironically if not for him, Florida might eliminate us in the first round. At at home no less.

I liked Clemmensen was here, loved him that one season, though he was wronged when he got waived when Brodeur came back (Devils didn't want to waive Weekes) and I've been indifferent towards him since he left.

I gotta say I felt really bad when he left. I think he at least earned the right to be backup when Marty came back. I understand it was I guess cause they didn't wanna pay Weekes NHL money to play in the minors, but I still felt bad. It was sad to see. I do however think if Clemmer was our goalie the two prior seasons we may not make the playoffs, and if we do it's barely an 8th seed. Even with him playing as well as he did that year at times. We scored 40 more goals that season than the year before I think. That's like half a goal more a game.

I was worried Lou was gonna put Moose out to pasture this Summer, and re sign Clemmy. He was re signed shortly before hitting the UFA market by Florida though. Happier with Moose now.

Then the year after, Yann Danis, in the handful of games he played made me want to rip hairs out

lol Yann Danis wasn't that terrible his few starts, except in the one shootout he played. That was maybe the worst shootout I've ever seen a goaltender play, I think he gave up three goals on three shots I want to say against the Oilers. Then he had one other bad game I think and was never heard from again.

EDIT: Just looked it up, the hideous shootout was against the Leafs. And the bad game he got pulled was just before Thanksgiving against the Stars...he gave up three goals on nine shots in the first period, then only got three starts the rest of the season and none till February.

I never felt confident with him in net, it was just the way he moved about the position it gave me that 'oh ****, oh ****' feeling when there was a scramble, breakaway, etc

Just didn't look comfortable

So there is progress being made in these negotiations. Too bad it only took 3 mind numbing, drama filled, needless months. The NHL and PA can still go eat a bowl of dicks as far as I'm concerned. Ain't getting off that easy for dumping on the sport the way that they have.

From the way it looks on twitter, it looks like the NHL countered and the NHLPA is reviewing right now.

Apparently Friday is the target date for everybody to get a deal done (before the next round of games has to be scheduled).

Wouldn't be surprised if it was marathon sessions from here on out.

It looks like the biggest hurdle at the moment is that the NHL wants a 10 year deal. I am thoroughly on board with that. Anything that pushes the inevitable dread of the next lockout down the line.

Yann Danis did step in for Marty one game in Atlanta, and we came back, and won it. I think Jacques pulled Marty after giving up 3 goals in the first period, and we won like 4-3 or 5-4. I remember this game because Chico was ripping on Kovy all game long. He was saying ''I can't get over how bad Kovalchuk has been in this game Doc he's the captain! He wants some team to give him $8 million a year, well I don't know what team will!'' It was something along those lines.

After today my confidence has been restored that they NHL and NHLPA aren't made up of complete morons. Seems to be some reasonable people in their.

Pretty sure we'll have a season. Probably will start around Christmas.

Someone posted Dreger, and McKenzie were on TSN saying sides aren't as close, and as many people who want a deal there are many who don't right now. I think one of them said something about getting back on the ice maybe by mid January. They didn't seem to be saying no progress was made though.

A look from the other side:

I really wanted to interview Malkin when Magnitogorsk visits Bratislava.

Damn you Marty.

EDIT: well, a mid January start would certainly make both me and you happy.
