The only reason there might be a .01 percent chance of it being true is if Jacobs somehow fed the Boston reporter something, since he's basically running the lockout. Of course there's also the possibility he fed him misinformation, or it's just another stupid rumor born out of speculation.

McKenzie was tweeting about the Canada WJC team all morning. And you really think all these guys would just randomly dissapear a day before the big players/owners meeting and two days before the BOG meeting?
There are way too many people fighting for the sake of ego instead of the game for me to hold any confidence in any of this.
I won't hate being pleasantly surprised... but confidence has flat lined.
I don't disagree...but from my perspective, there's no harm believing in the tooth fairy for a couple days. Beats remaining bitter and mad constantly throughout. There'll be plenty of time for those feelings if the next couple of days blow up and we're back to status quo.
The fact this guy is a respected reporter in the NE area (even if football is his specialty) and he went on TV with it gives me a little hope.

Disagree. I've accepted that there will be no season so I don't miss it as much. Then someone posts optimistic news and I really start to miss the game and start hoping for the best. It's happened several times now and each time no progress was made.
I hope things get done tomorrow. I really do. But I'm not banking on it anymore. Been crushed too much the last two months.
