So I finally decided to start an NHL be-a-pro mode in order to surround myself in a lucid fantasy that there's professional hockey going on.

Choose a defenseman for the Islanders, then on the first day, the very first day (the first day of the be-a-pro), I see the following:

The New York Islanders have traded Lubomir Visnovsky, Evgeni Nabokov, Mark Eaton, and a 4th Round pick to the Buffalo Sabres for Marcus Foligno and Mikhail Grigorenko.

Quit it and decided to do a season in juniors and play for whatever team drafts me. Even the in-game Islanders management is incompetent. Zero desire to play in front of DiPietro for an entire season.
