Backstrom certainly isn't giving up ... 3 or 4 good scoring chances in his last few shifts.

Roster say that CZE should have played better but Finland totally dominated the 1st peroid..

But cze scored with their first shot, 0-1. Awesome, suprisingly good effort from this Finnish team if you look at opponents roster.

Johansson has been good too. Looks like Backstrom light out there.

2-1 for Finland. Oskar Osala's been great tonight, 1+1 and lots of nice, hard, clean hits.

Sweden is getting outworked out there in every aspect. To no surprise though, the Russian squad is world class, while this seems to be Swedens B/C team

The forecheck on 2-1 goal was so good that I thought its Komarov.. But it was Osala, hes sure been great. What a speed and power this team has... What it lacks in top end skill players, this team has in morale, grit, hitting, power, speed, team defense. Allthought I knew most of players from the roster and knew that they are solid players, I didin't really expect that they could dominate that looking Czech roster with this looking roster..

Well, theres 1 peroid to go. Anything can happen and when the opponent has that kind of roster, I dont feel very secure for the win yet.

Well, Per Marts and Tre Kronor don't work really. Yes Lundback is shaky, and yes Russia has 5 star forwards, but main reason this game is a blowout is the fact that Team Sweden has zero self-confiedence. They consistently overplay situations, they don't have any middle zone defense and they don't have any creativity.

So happy that they extended Mårts' contract.

Russia looks good. Nikulin is the most underrated defensemen in the world
I think. Does everything very well.

An entertaining game so far. Finland has clearly been the better team, a well deserved lead. Aaltonen has been very solid!

Pär Mårts is probably the worst coach Tre Kronor has ever had. Such a mismatch it's not even funny.

Finland wins Czech Republic 3-2. A tight game, but I would say a well deserved win for us.

Finland dominated 75% of the time. Suprising thought.. But yes deserved win. Could've been painfull loss if the superstars of cze had scored couple of ones.. Many times it doesn't help if you controll the whole game, many times the skillfull opponent scores the goals.

The first period was clearly ours, but the last 2 periods were pretty close. Anyways, an entertaining game and our performance was a nice surprise!
