Did you see yesterday in the NFL? There's a LOT of bad QB'ing out there.
Do I think the Jets are going to run the table? Not really (though it's hard not to make a case they could win each game itself), but it's not as if they're playing a great team tonight. Especially with Jake Locker as THEIR QB, he isn't that much better than Sanchez except he can make a few plays running the ball. The Jets' D has been better recently, and if they can contain CJ1K they can win another low-scoring game.
There was a lot of bad QB play yesterday, no doubt. But Sanchez is a bad QB week in and week out. He hasn't done anything impressive in over two years, and I would argue that everything he did his first two seasons was a mirage because his O-line was great, his run game was great, his defense was great, and he had a bunch of solid receivers (at the time.)
Locker at least has a strong arm that he can fall back on that allows him to make some good plays, plus the athleticism you mention to get first downs with his feet. Sanchez does literally NOTHING productive.
Which is why they'll do the opposite of what you expect.
(or so I hope. )
At least they got Braylon Edwards back so the game would be worth watching just from that standpoint....(And I'm talking about my standpoint since I know none of you give a rat's ass about Edwards, okay?)
When players in any sport say something like that about the fans, it's hilarious how they don't realize how contradictory of a statement it is - if he doesn't really care about the fans, then the fans wouldn't even be on his mind and cause him to even speak about them
Guess it runs in the organization though, Cutler blames his teamates, Urlacher the fans
Never has done it in Chicago ,, Cutler always takes blame for mistakes of offense even when he isn't to blame
The Cutler hate is pretty laughable at this point ,, If you dont like the guy or think he is no good then fine. But claiming falsely that he blames his teamates is just absurd blind hate
Now Urlacher on other hand can follow Lovie out the door ,, He is finished and fans are sick of his constant defense of organization/lovie (Both deserve to be called out for various BS)
I know Ryan hates Tebow but at this point there is no reason that Sanchez should take another snap this season
Well there's about eight and a half million of them (his guaranteed money next year) but that's beside the point.
Sanchez is awful but they pick the only two times where he's throwing the ball decently to yank him for Tebow, then when he comes back in he's back to being horrendous. This staff just has ZERO feel for game situations. And of course after by some miracle the Jets actually get the lead the D spits the bit again, what a shock.
When the Jets lose they really need to play McElroy the next two games though, if nothing else to see if he can be a viable backup or even a candidate for starter next year. Clearly Tebow's not going to be a QB here, and he really doesn't have the skill set for it unless you have the 'right' offensive personnel around him.
lol that was maybe the worst game I've ever seen any QB play and that includes Lindley two weeks ago. At least Lindley was so off-target he wasn't hitting ANYONE - defenders or receivers, Sanchez is hitting Titans in the numbers perfectly.
The fact that Sanchez had not one but TWO chances inside the 30-yard line in the last three minutes and turned it over both times is what makes it so freaking comical. Even Tebow would have done better than that, at least his inaccuracies usually wind up five rows in the stands.
The question with Tebow under center would be how terrible would the play calling be. The one "series" they gave him was some of the absolute worst play calling I've seen from this team all season (and there have been plenty of laughable ones I'm sure). He likely wouldn't have done much more because he wouldn't have been given any chance to do anything... unless he pulled a miracle out of thin air.
How could Tebow possibly be any worse than Sanchez?
The whole Tebow thing was that he "cant pass" and that he'd probably only complete a little over 50% of his passes.
Sanchez 229/418 = 54.7% ....................With a miserable 17 Interceptions versus 13 Touchdowns to boot.
I mean, maybe Tebow isnt that good, but I doubt he'd be much worse than 54.7%, and at least he can run.
It's almost as if they refuse to play him, because to do so would be admitting they were wrong. And God forbid could you imagine if they played Tebow and he played well? Holy CRAP! The firestorm and backlash would be unbearable, so maybe cowardice and ego is the real reason Tebow is never given a chance.
Tebow can't run anymore, at least not the way he did last year. They bulked him up to be a punt protector (he put on 15-20 pounds) lmfao.
McElroy's better than the two of them put together because at least he has some accuracy and intelligence. He can't throw the ball as well as Sanchez/Tebow but I'd rather see a poor man's version of Pennington at this point than this garbage. They need to at least give him the last two games now that the Jets are out of it to see if he can be at worst a backup next year.
The fact they haven't even activated McElroy since he won the Arizona game is inconscionable. Last week the excuse was because McKnight had a migrane so they needed an extra RB. This week the excuse was they needed a sixth WR because guys were hurt. As if we have 45 All-Pros playing and you couldn't sit someone else to make room for an actual QB?
