I think Kapernick's got a good future...but I think most of the league is rooting against the Niners cause of the way Harbaugh handled the Alex Smith situation. It wasn't right to bench him 'when' they did (coming off a concussion). Plus he hadn't exactly done anything to lose his job regardless.

Guys the 49ers are the best team ever and if you say otherwise you're just wrong

That's my stance on it too as a huge 9er fan and a HUGE fan for Harbaugh...he really dropped the ball on this one. Regardless of where Alex goes next year that will be my 2nd fav team.

Seattle is a different team nowand they're playing in a different building. Alex Smith isn't puttin up 28 points in one half in Seattle.

Okay now I am willing to say its over. lol Hawks still won't do anything in the playoffs anyway.

Come back and say poor Smith if he doesn't start the playoffs imo.

And now the Hawks are rolling it up a third straight game lmao.

If it wasn't for the fact they're going to be on the road the whole postseason, and the fact they might lose their best corner for the playoffs, Seattle would be a legit contender THIS year. As it is they'll enter next year as one of the favorites.

Then again, the only 'real' contender on paper is the Packers at this point. Atlanta's a fraud until proven otherwise. The Niners look like the bully team that's gotten punched in the mouth a few times this year, and Kapernick's going to be more of an issue for them going forward.

Atlanta is not a fraud team. To say that is so ignorant.

I guess the Devils had no shot at a Stanley Cup this past season.

So if I'm looking at it right, the Bears need to win and Vikings need to lose for Chicago to make it? Green Bay will need the win especially after the 49er loss tonight the Packers will have a chance to close out a first round bye.

The Devils weren't a real contender going into the playoffs, until proven otherwise. Neither were the Kings for that matter. You can't really compare the NHL to the NFL anyway.

Atlanta has a LOT to prove, they've been punked in their last two playoff games and lost three overall. What big wins do they have this year other than beating a rotting corpse of a Giants team at home? They beat Peyton early in the season at home before he really got back on track, that's about it.

So I guess the Giants are more of a contender this year than the Falcons

I want to see a Seahawks-Redskins matchup in the playoffs. That would be great.

Can't imagine the marketing folks would care for that one. RGIII is popular and pretty much nothing else.

It would probably be one hell of a game. Don't think either team is winning the Super Bowl but that match up I would like to see.

Wilson has so much more around him than Luck. He took a 7-9 team and made them a 10 win team with the #2 scoring defense and #4 rushing game in the NFL. Luck took a 2-14 team and made them a 10 with team with the #19 defense and #22 rushing game in the NFL. Not to mention 7 game winning drives.

No 1st overall QB as ever led his team to the playoffs until this year. This biased Colts fan thinks Luck deserves the award.
