I agree with you. Sidney Crosby is probably also my choice, probably going to be a few people's first choice.
When he first came into the league he gained a reputation for being childish. Complaining to the refs and retaliating with a swift kick from underneath or slash at the legs. I guess I over the years he matured a lot from those days. Occasionally you may see him complain now, but more often than not I see him just say a word to the ref and skate away.
I guess even back then I am not shocked he did any of this. From the time he emerged as the next one in his youth days, he was always playing kids 2-5 years older and he was a BIG STAR. They put a target on him at all times and over the seasons I am sure that was his way in protecting himself (retaliating).
And all players complain when calls dont go there way, at least hes really matured from it.
I think many people still live by his old habits.
Me? I realize how much work he puts into his game every day. Its insane and I love it. I am inspired by it
