Little warning to anyone going for 100% game completion, the Relic 1 collectible is only available for a limited time. It's in the cave where your friends are located near the Dr.'s. Once you go to the second island, that cave is no longer accessible and you wont be able to collect it. So collect it as soon as you can, ideally.

It has no bearing on Trophy/Achievements though. On that note, I just got all the achievements last night. I still have a bunch of the side missions, Trials of the Rakyat and 60 more relics to collect though.

Started playing it this weekend, it's pretty good so far but has the same thing that annoyed the hell out of me in Skyrim. Way too many mountains and cliffs for a game with a lot of exploration. I don't want to run around an entire mountain side looking for the one path up so I can continue going the way I wanted. Or climb up only to be basically at the top and suddenly your guy can't jump a 2 foot barrier, so slide all the way back down to restart somewhere else.

One of the best games I've ever played for Xbox.

Right behind Skyrim for me.

I'm a huge fan of Skyrim, Fable, Fallout, etc type games and this is perfect.

Just got to the part where you find Riley and have to interrogate him

Just beat the game. I think it's the best game of the year by far.

I'd play it all over again.

A lot more raw than cod controls though but it's good that way. Gives a better impression of the character being inexperienced and not a super soldier

Beat it last night. Decent length with a solid, engaging story. Now I'll run around the island cleaning up the little challenges, etc.

During a battle with pirates, I found myself being ass-***** by a bunch of lizards, which turned out to be komodo dragons. Good times. Question though: can I eventually get silenced weapons, such as a sniper rilfe?

Yep. You can add sound suppressors (among other extensions) to a lot of weapons, including sniper rifles. I think the sound suppressor is $400 for most guns. When you're at a gun store/machine just click on the sniper you own and a list of extensions for the weapon will come up.

Such a great and addictive game. I'm really taking my time with the main quest-line and have made my main priority taking out most outposts, doing side-quests and crafting a bunch of things first (sorry, friends captured by vicious pirates).

I can't believe how difficult taking out animals is relative to people though. I've probably been killed by a pack of small dogs more times than I have taking out enemy outposts.

Get the .50 cal sniper as fast as you can. Once you get it, it's over. Just destroy everyone

No doubt, I've been slaughtered by those giant birds more than I have people in the game. Then I ran across a tiger in the woods and thought it was game over but it went down easier than a dog. Not sure what the deal with all that is.

o____0 screw those things

On my 3rd outpost, the game told me I can shoot animal cages, and I see a caged Cassowary. I decide not to waste a bullet on a useless bird. After clearing the outpost, out of ammo, I decide to break open the cage...

The Komodo dragons are my achilles' heel LOL! I've had the most problems with them...followed by the Tigers. Thos damn cats always seem to get me while I'm ready to snipe an outpost.

Sooo.... many... Relics.... o_O

At about 70.

EDIT:

I'll add my favourite experience too.

So I was walking through the jungle towards an enemy camp, but was pretty close to a main road (this was at about my 5th or 6th tower).

An enemy vehicle was coming up, so I crouched into the undergrowth (crouch slid actually)... then started moving backwards away from the road.

Suddenly I was free falling o_O I fell a hundred feet or so into a cave full of water. Got stuck in there for a while as I had to swim waaay down and swim south a few hundred feet to get out.

Was so shocked when I fell though, surprised the crap out of me.

It's always hilarious to see a group of Rakyat destroy some pirates (or reversed) and proceed to get murdered by a pack of puppies
