Ed should have written LW/C .

That he has played C for the last while is just one more plus .

Based on discussions I've had with RPI folk, these has been no sheltering.

Kasdorf is the the starter there now and he hasn't missed many starts apart from his injury.

Looking at his win numbers, he can't be in so weak a league that there are that many sheltered games.

I thought it be fun to look at our CHL prospects if we remove PP points...

Even Strength + PK Point Production
NameGPGAPTSG/GPA/GPPTS/GP
Mark Scheifele 30 14 18 32 0.47 0.60 1.07
Adam Lowry 53 22 26 48 0.42 0.49 0.91
Scott Kosmachuk 49 16 15 31 0.33 0.31 0.63
Ryan Olsen 51 13 12 25 0.25 0.24 0.49
Zachary Yuen 51 03 08 11 0.06 0.16 0.22
Austen Brassard 42 07 10 17 0.17 0.24 0.40
Lukas Sutter 51 10 08 18 0.20 0.16 0.35

I know these are simple non advanced stats but still

Interesting as a freshman for the Wolverines Trouba has 8 goals 9 assists for 17 points in 25 games for a .68 PPG average. Despite playing 3 less games than some of his team mates he leads the Wolverines in Power Play scoring with 9 points and is tied for 4th in overall scoring on the team. Leads the team in PP goals. 2nd on the team in goals scored. Double the amount of penalty minutes as the next closest player due to that nasty streak.

That .68 PPG average would be good for 56 points in an NHL season ()

WJC defensman of the tournament and putting up very solid scoring stats as a freshman.

If you want to use AIH/behindthenet creator and overloard Desjardin's NHL equivelancies...
That's just around 20 points in an 82 game season

Yea I was having fun with the number sans the sarcasem because two posters were in a heated debate on the Trouba threat on the Main prospects board on what 40 points in scoring meant for an NHL defenseman. My cut and paste job is lost in translation

However I do appreciate the conversion projection. His numbers might be compressed on the Jets even more given Toby, Buff, Postma, and Bogosian would all be ahead of him on the PP initially one would assume and Jacob's numbers are strongly weighted by the PP in Michigan.

NCAA equivalencies are probably the weakest due to huge age gaps and usage of players (and other stuff Gabe Desjardins knows that I don't).

I just adding in on: for a youngin' he's doin' pretty darn good

Nope, that was Rookie of the week the week after he returned from injury and went straight in to win a couple of games. After last weekend's 2 shutouts he is now Goalie of the week. I guess he had to turn it up a notch. (11 shots for the first shutout is definitly a team shutout. TBH) States in the article he is second in the nation for GAA. Well done J.
