I met a nice girl at the bar last night when we played pool together. She's hit like four of my girlfriend criteria: She's cute, she's a hockey fan (although she's a Rangers fan), she likes trivia, and she has an awesome job (works for ESPN). I got her number, definitely something to keep an eye on here.

Fun story. I was at Cedar Point a long time ago over the summer. I was chilling out in the lazy river when I noticed a cute chick around my age. Her little brother kept splashing her while she was trying to relax/sunbathe atop a tube. After a while, she starts ignoring him and he gets bored and leaves her alone. We're all just drifting, and I'm pretty sure she's either asleep or completely oblivious to the fact that she's about to go under a freezing cold waterfall that spans about 50 feet. So I quickly paddle over and give her tube a little shove to try to push her away from it. She barely gets splashed by the waterfall but it does wake her up. I say "sorry I tried to nudge you out of the way" and we start talking. Eventually she realizes that she hasn't seen her little brother for a long time, and starts to freak out a bit.

I offer to help her look for the little kid and it turns out that he got out of the lazy river and went to the bathroom, then came back. I "spotted" him as he was getting back in and became the hero for doing absolutely nothing.

We didn't get married but we did hook up later that week.

I guess that's sort of relevant to the story except that it was a role reversal and there was no falcon.

^ Maybe the "little brother" played the role of the falcon?

every 30 minutes or so i knock on my desk to make my roommate think someone is knocking on the door. every single time he gets up, leaves his room, walks to the door, sees no one is there, and goes back to his room. i think i'm going to start taking things of his from the living room and putting them out in the hallway before i do it, just to see what happens.

Not sure what inside info she'd have on the NHL. She works for ESPN, not TSN.

This can be amazing. Do it. Make videos for us. My friend yesterday licked gummy bears and stuck them to every dorm door on his building.

Classic folie a deux. Sounds like something he would do.

That's quite the avant-garde nativity scene.

"Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses." - Ezekiel 23:19-20

I guess camels can replace in a pinch.

I recently upgraded to the Galaxy II (didn't want the Galaxy III) Skyrocket from the Galaxy I and I'm pretty happy with it.

The funny thing about living here, is you see stuff like that so oftenit doesn't even faze you. I know why they're there, but even if I saw 3 camels walking down 6th Avenue in July I doubt I'd bat an eyelash. You become desensitized to ridiculous sights after a while. Especially movie shoots, which occur so often in my hood they can be a nuisance.

I want to see the elephant parade someday (it's the Midtown Tunnel though, not the Lincoln Tunnel). I keep saying I'll go down there and watch, but it happens late at night and I always seen to be busy.

Couldn't word it better myself. I saw a guy in the middle of the day in a full Spiderman costume in the subway and I looked once and went on my way. The things you see past mindnight on the subways, good grief.
