Childish Gambino

Do we have to warn people about a lot of bad language in a video?

Seems like it was just a bunch of baseless hype that never turned into anything. I guess we'll have to go back to dreaming that SETI will find something.

The analysis is a little simplistic and very slanted, but I agree with the overall message. It should be legal.

The point is that a significant portion of the arrests made and a non-trivial amount of the prison population are due solely to people wanting to smoke weed. To my mind, the cops have better things to do than bust stoners, and we have better ways of spending our money.

My follow up question was people who are similar to Childish Gambino. He's unreal.

I'll give anything a listen, I have very diverse tastes. Not a huge fan of slow rap though.

Its going to take a long, long time. I have a cigarette burn and a cigar burn on each of my arms that are still prominent after several months.

I didn't know that was last night, and if I did, I probably still wouldn't have watched it.

as family guy once noted, victoria’s secret, swimsuit calendars…all appeal has been lost (well, most appeal). the internet, with its endless stream of nipples, has trumped them in every way.

edit- ever borked a girl in one of the VC dressing room benches and whatnot? its like the store wants you to with that setup in there.

and herein lies the problem we spoke of in the entertainment thread awhile back

I, once again, don’t get the movie reference. meanwhile, I was making a movie reference more on my level, using ‘borked’ a la steve carell in the 40YOV. where, incidently, 'me love you long time' is also used.

my life, it isn’t easy

You haven't seen Full Metal Jacket? It has the best first 10 minutes in movie history.

nope. another that i planned on watching but didnt because

1- im way, way too lazy (see: chart I posted yesterday )
2- I’ve seen it lampooned so many times, I get it already. watching it would be completely backwards at this point. just like star wars etc etc

there was a mini-judd apatow-breakout in those years…mid 2000’s? really great stuff. im looking forward to seeing ‘this is 40’, but im skeptical it will be too much like Funny People (which had its moments, but was overall too long and too meh IMO)

Saving Private Ryan and I respectfully disagree. FMJ was certainly excellent, but SPR left me honestly semi-shocked and certainly moved well after I left the theater from that opening.

Supertroopers has a great first 10-15 minutes too. Especially compared to the rest of the flick.
