List of current and former NHLers in the KHL (EDIT: stats updated!)

as soon as permission was granted to discuss KHL in this forum, i decided to put up this thread to help those who are too lazy to dig up themselves where the players ended. i will try to update this as the players keep flowing in. italic demotes players who are on lockout-long deals, others have played in NHL at some points in their careers. you can find some familiar names here if you are in search for a team to support during the lockout; this might help to settle your mind.

Awesome. Thanks for going to all of the trouble. A lot of names that bring back memories. Always had particular soft spots for Afinogenov, Korolyuk, and Tverdovsky.

Is Fedor Fedorov that new MMA centreman I've heard so much about? Nobody will want to fight him.

Same, was under the impression that distinguished NHLers like Ozolinsh just retire. It feels like a while since be played for Colorado/San Jose.

Ozolinsh and Tverdovsky both in the KHL Morozov as well though his NHL career wasn't as long.

Shame that all of these guys probably still would've been in the NHL or played in the league for at least a few more years if not for the 2004-05 lockout opening up the European/KHL possibility.

Am a bit surprised ozolins isn't playing for Riga

And also that Korolyuk has signed again with Vityaz considering their reputation....

Ironically the KHL Champion has the one of the smallest NHL contingents in the league. And the runner up - is one of the shortest lists as well.

Also has the smallest professional hockey player and arguably a team with the biggest heart!

Semen Varlamov. Nice. Also, should Visnovsky be in italics, he's only signed to a lockout-length deal as he's owned by NYI, so he should be italicized, right?

Ozolinsh played for Riga. He still has issues though so they parted ways. And Vityaz actually changed a lot. That's exactly why they signed Korolyuk.

no idea, no info provided. i do personally think that Lev has a deal on the line with a superior player, like Krejci, and this is just an excuse. also, they now own KHL rights to Cervenka, maybe they will sign him.
