I don't know if winning the group is even a possibility anymore, but we need at least a point from Sweden to make the QFs. Doesn't look too good.

They need atleast one point to get to QF, and a three or more goal victory to win the group.

I read from the other thread that we need a 3 goal win in regulation for #1.

3 goal win = Group #1

Loss on regulation = Finland eliminated

1 point (OT/SO Loss) = QF

Guess it's like that then.

On the positive note Barkov and Ristolainen were better than Lindholm imo.

Didn't see Barkov during the entire game.

That Raipe gig hasn't been officially announced yet, so there's still time to dig up a proper coach.

Kummola, you must. Spare no expenses. Time to use some of that 8 mil we did last spring.

I agree. Also no-one from this coaching crew should be part of the next one. Message has to be sent.

What i have seen, Finland was 4th best team in a group. So i think going relegation group is justise.

That Latvia win was huge. Even if they lose both relegation games they can save their *****.

He and Armia dominated at times on the offensive zone. And I have to say I'm really impressed by Ristolainen. The best defenceman on the team and on the ice today imo. Would really be surprised if he isn't top 10 by the time of the draft.

Did not see anything from Barkov. Seriously. Very disappointed with him. I am however very impressed with Ristolainen. What a beast.

You could also see that Maatta wasn't 100%. After every shift he was breathing like he would throw up at any moment.

Overall I'm also a little dissapointed in Barkov. Just seemed so tired every game. Today though I was pleased. He could withstand his own against tough opponent.

Kinda hard to say that. In a sense, the tournament format also kicked us into the backside.

Next year the bye goes away and it's 4 teams making the QF. Which means we would have been in as well.

Every thing has its silver lining, of course. We've been a staple to make the QF at minimum for so long that the suits have definitely gotten complacent. I don't know if this'll be enough to bring about any major chances, but at least we'll get to watch the squirm at least a little.

Well he said he was feeling tired after the exhibition game against the US already. Sure was smart by Tappara to play him in that game that instead of resting him like Jokerit did with their players.

Easier said than done. They float first period and then try to catch Germany. And to Armia and co it makes no difference if they relegate. But like i said even if they lose both games they can survive.
