TV Viewership for Home vs Away Game

I was wondering if, all other things equal, home games have higher average TV ratings or away games.

Obviously home games are more likely to be on TV, or cable etc... so they get higher ratings.

But if everything is held constant, the thousands of fans that might be at the home game, might watch from home. On the other hand people might watch home games because they feel like the even is more important because it is in their city, their friends are at the game etc...

What do the numbers say if you hold everything else constant. More viewers for home games or away games?

for teams like the Panthers that have 15 people watch the game on TV (for home games)it might have a noticeable effect if you looked close enough but most teams should have a negligible difference.

not a big deal in the eastern conference except for interconference games, but for many wc teams, i'd bet certain away games have bad ratings because of timezone issues. If the sharks are playing in detroit, not as many people are tuning in at 4PM to watch the sharks in california as they would if the game was in primetime. Same for the Jackets playing in LA. - how many jackets fans are watching a 10pm-1am game?
