Reason why I slot Grigo at the very freakin worst at 7. Just like Forsberg should have not went 11.
Or Teravainen at 18, Collberg in the 2nd round!
It's the same thing that always happens, just as Euro skilled guys got overrated a bit after the Wings and Avs dominant years, now everyone thinks the only way to win is with Bruins level toughness or especially the Kings level of physical grinding play, ignoring the puck posession that complimented their toughness..suddenly everyone wants defenders and big two way guys with less offensive upside, and we are back to avoiding Europeans. It's funny how there's already a backlash against Yakupov and to an extent Grigorenko but nobody is laughing at teams for picking the likes of Pouliot, Reinhart, Koekkoek when you had Forsberg and Grigo on the board.
USA for me with Galchenyuk totally dominating. Collberg already has a gold medal.
There's no way he dominates unless he shines on the PP. Honestly, I don't really care, we have a future hab with a gold medal. But I think I prefer to see Sweden 'cause I have to be consequent....thought US made all sorts of bad choices....it has to show at some point. Tough to point out the bad moves with a gold medal. But I believe US deserve it more. And the momentum is clearly on their side. So a little wish that Sweden wins. But totally expect US to do so.

Their bad choices are completely neutralized by Gibson's play. He's been the best player in the tournament IMO.
Id take a chance with him in late round.
I like his puck protection skill.
Me too. I really like his hockey sense as well. He's very smart and poised. His passing is very good, and I like his shot too. Really good player, very intriguing.
I don't think he's a late round pick at this point. I usually see him ranked in the second. I'd probably have him there too.

He went undrafted last year I think
You think he'll go in the 2nd round after being undrafted?
Wennberg will be the major riser of this draft. It would not surprise me at all to see him ranked in the top 10 in a few months. The guy was leading a very strong Allsvenskan team in scoring before the WJC, his skating and athleticism is not matched by many. He is also a very good passer and has a nasty wristshot. He's definitely gone before the first round is over.
